I think that's the double - edged sword of Schur's shows. He's such a decent person that even the villains end up humanized and ultimately part of the team. Then the shows need to dig extra hard to bring in new villains and problems until they end in wish fulfillment and everyone hugging. They're great shows, but I wonder if he'll try to change it up going forward.

I never took it as her in particular bankrupting the town, more like a thing politicians in Eagletown did over the years. They lost their touch with reality and money, they kept spending for useless things because for them it was all about "looking rich and fancy" until it was too much and too late to do anything about it. It's not like Ingrid alone was running Eagletown and making all the decisions.
