It's nice to see you address how you've liked the show but people still make those comments because I was thinking "am I watching the same videos as everyone else?" haha. I find it kind of annoying when people do things like that (i.e. telling every reactor that Community season 4 is bad) and don't just let people form their own opinion.

I don't think it's so much that people are saying season one is bad, just that it gets so much better. Season one of it's Always Sunny is very funny, but then Frank arrives and it's another level. Same deal with Parks.

S1 is like season 1 of its always sunny: it's already good, just feels incomplete in retrospect because its missing great, core characters.

Season 2 is when the show starts to hit its stride but I really enjoyed the first season. You guys seem to really be enjoying it so far so it's only going to get better

I don't quite get all the Mark hate. I think he didn't really have an easy quirk to write consistently funny material for, a bit like Anne, they suffered from being too normal

Yeah I think the actor had a hard time with the script and I’m pretty sure he didn’t like it so he probably didn’t feel good filming a lot of the eps which I think it showed a lot in his role

Sandy Duncan was a huge stage and screen actress that was successful and then had a tumour from behind her eye removed that left that eye blind. She continued her career with a eye that moved but was clearly dead. Still, successful Disney and Broadway actress. Peaked in the 80’s probably. It was a good complisult to Knope.

This season gets a lot of hate the same way The Great Divide (the episode of Avatar) gets a lot of hate. It's still a good, funny season. The Great Divide is still a good episode. It's just not quite up to par with the rest of the show.

I very rarely watch anything from season 1. I actually forgot how horrible Mark was when you think about the fact that he was supposed to be an ignorant but likable guy like Jim Halpert. I just thought he was boring and an idiot but he’s actually so terrible

Mark sucks, Andy sucks, a lot of people in this show suck. But not in a good way, like The Gang, in a bad way, like a badly written TV show.

These episodes are a good example of the producers limitations….confirmed by Brooklyn99. They find the improv/The Office rip-off formula and stick to it for almost the whole show. Then they ruin the final seasons trying ro be a real sitcom that suddenly has an important story that literally dominates every episode until the jokes are jokes of themselves and ‘acting weird’ becomes the big pun. Great improv comics make this show. It’s definitely not the writing. (Actually, the editor really helps the gags on this show more than others).
