@@billandlizy they can't crawl up through drains from what I've read. They get in through the tiniest cracks though. We have them in Georgia too. They are nightmares. They don't want to live indoors, which is comforting, but if one gets in your house it's like a horror show. They can FLY but not well and they absolutely will launch themselves directly at you if you happen to walk in your living room when one happens to have found its way in. They are horrifying and huge and I hate them so much.

@@billandlizy a few years ago I was on vacation in Florida and a palmetto bug crawled right onto me while I was lying in bed. It just casually walked across my torso as I was relaxing, reading. The giant yellow ones are called locusts. Grasshoppers only grow into locusts if their population is high enough.

When the text says "its a bowl" if you listen hes actually saying something closer to "its a buwlg". Like a cross between the way Tori says "bowl" and "bug"

What kind of grasshoppers you have there in Florida that let you get close and pick them up? On the other coast our grasshoppers actually run if you try to approach them

Our chickens would love those grasshoppers. I used to go out by the canal and catch them for the chickens. One time fluffencluck stuck her head through the chain link fence as i was getting ready to hand feed a grasshopper i caught and she ripped its head clean off. Only its head. Was holding a headless grasshopper confused for a second. One of the other chickens ate the rest of the grasshoppers body.
