Concerning the elemental's move, I'd like to point out the following from the RtL rule book: "Generally, a monster skips over any action that it cannot resolve or will cause no change to the game state...." As Earth would cause no damage, the Elemental would skip that action (and the "after earth" ability would be ignored). Of course, once you skipped earth, you would have taken the Spot action to move closer, so you're not too far from the expected location (perhaps one space further away, but the range roll was 3 in the combat so you would have still taken some damage).

I did this because of the post-Earth movement, but in retrospect I think I agree with you; logic persuades me the post-Earth movement is not part of the action per se, so the Spot would have been the right action.

my finger has been hovering over the 'buy it now' button on Imperial Assault for some time... still not clicked... I think because I know when I do I'll want to get expansions. Shame the base set doesn't have anyone characters I know (though the bonus Luke and Vadar are tempting...).

How do you beat the last battle against sir alric farrow? I cant seem to get past mutants on the app. We have played numerous times with 2 players and seems impossible! We dont even have weapons strong enough to get past the mutant with 8 defense

Your channel has single handedly cost me all of my free time $$ for the last month, and forseeable future. Where is the commission for this man?! I am wondering.. did you ever play old school DungeonQuest? I wonder if Descent is like a spiritual successor .. more with the cards, but the random dungeon motif is clearly nicely at play here.. I've been looking for a DQ follow up, as I've gotten my kids into that but my copy is probably 20+ years old and showing it :)

You should check out the REVISED EDITION of DungeonQuest from Fantasy Flight Games... it might be what you are looking for. But yes, Descent is a good alternative.
