I appreciate you coming back through and letting us know you passed(on your first try too)! I know you felt really good walking out knowing you did that! Hey, I am a firm believer that if you want it bad enough, you'll make a way. KUDOS to you. Now you got to send the drone community some nice drone shots! :)
@ArrowItArchery Жыл бұрын
To simplify and clarify drone efficiency in altitude densities, just in a hover as an example....The higher you go, the air is less dense (thinner). The propellers need to rotate at a higher speed in thinner air to keep the drone at a hover. Less power is required in more dense air (thicker) to keep drone at hover. Efficiency is less up higher because the drone is requiring more power to stay in one spot.

I appreciate the format, but I recommend you revise the notes on Lat/Long. You got those mixed up. I remember it as Lattitude = ladder...the lines run parallel to the equator (from left to right on the charts) and measure the distance north and south of the equator. It's a lot to keep straight, but students definitely need to know the difference between those two to answer the questions correctly. Thanks for the video!

This is a great training video. At 1:00:24 you said that longitudinal lines are horizontal, but they're actually vertical and run east and west where as lines of latitude are horizontal and go north and south. You answered the question right but the explanation was off.

I keep getting these latitude and longitude lines mixed up and this doesn’t help. Your correction confused me more. Latitude lines are horizontal and parallel to the equator but don’t “go” north and south, they “measure” North and South. Longitude lines go North and South and measure east and west.

You are really confusing folks with your answer to the question about which side of the airport you are on. First you have to figure out which end would be runway 31 (130 degrees). This is heading southeast into the wind. Therefore you are on the east side as you said but not as you reasoned. Otherwise you could be to the right of runway 31 but showing you are down wind with the runway (31) to your left. You have to figure which end of the runway is the one you want AND then see where you would be on a left midfield.
@ujman2 жыл бұрын
Well sorry you were confused. I am definitely not a pro, just doing my best. I will make sure my next video is much more clear. It’s all a learning experience. I appreciate your insight. Thanks

53:26 You are clarifying to not to confuse, I am confused lol. How do you get that downwind will put you on the right side (east side) of the runway? Is it because i am heading at runway 13 and that is north so that means upwind so that automatically heads me south inline with runway 26?
@ujman2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for being confusing. Let me try to clarify. In a normal left-hand traffic pattern, aircraft move in a counterclockwise pattern around the airport. So, when the aircraft turns ‘left,’ it is from the pilot’s perspective, not from your perspective. If a plane is midfield left downwind RWY 13, it means that the plane is flying parallel to the runway, in the opposite direction (downwind) of the runway, so in this case 310 degrees, or northwest. If the plane is “left downwind” it means that the runway is to the plane’s left. So knowing all of this, if you chart / sketch it out, the plane is to the east of the runway.

The answers you are providing for some of these questions are either innaccurate, or are not correctly explained. For example: The answer to question #14 is 1800wxbrief, but you are saying to use the B4UFLY app, which is totally wrong. There’s another question about stable air that was answered incorrectly too… Etc… These are some of the most basic questions on the test. Also, why spend so much time drawing all over the screen explaining things like how to tell North, East, South, and West? Appreciate the willingness to help, but you should fix or delete the video so other people don’t answer incorrectly while testing.
