Lace is expensive even new and nice cotton laces are up to $20 per yard, even more. I can by a top or dress with vintage lace on it for under $5 ad gain maybe p to $50 of lace. Same with anything. I love how well this turned out for everyone involved. The owners of that house didn't have to pay someone to clear it out. Instead, someone paid them to clear it out. And what a great job they're doing! That is money in the bank for the owners. The vintage clothes dealer got enough stock to last him for a very, very long time! And Alex made some money from that. Then he found some more clothing! Hans and Zinovia made some money for their hard work, and likely got some new subscribers for their channel. We subscribers are having a socially distanced blast! And we'll get to take part in the auction! All during a miserable pandemic that leaves us struggling to find pleasure. Everyone is having their needs met, making a living, being treated fairly, and Madame is being remembered, appreciated and respected. Big thanks to Alex and Melissa! PS I'm a bit alarmed to discover that it looks like I'm older than Alex's gorgeous young mother!

DON'T PUT THE CLOTHES IN A WASHING MACHINE!!!- sorry for the capital letters, but old vintage clothing will be ruined if they are put in a washing machine. Never use a iron only a steamer and no ordinary detergent. There are a lot of videos here on youtube on how to clean old vintage clothing. A very big thanks to you for all your great videos - and a happy new year to all :)

I was guessing they’d need to be dry cleaned rather than a washer..but I’m sure it’s way more complicated than that.
@karenkoe70964 жыл бұрын
Some of them can be laundered on delicate but I would be very careful drying them. Maybe a few minutes in the dryer to take the wrinkles out then hung to finish drying.

@Stella Marie Poetry and Green Arts Probably not since that could end up costing more than the clothes are worth. Trying a few of those on delicate would be prudent before investing too much in specialty care.

I talk to people all over the world, so the chances are pretty good! Bless you and yours for being there, and showing others that "paying it forward" is a "mindset", not something you do occasionally, to maybe make one's self feel better? Been there done that. Poor health & worse people can warp even the best people. These snippets of your life have shown me, that no matter what has been stolen from me, it is just stuff. They can't have my integrity or my soul, but it has been sorely tested. Thank you for helping me work out the kinks! ❤️❤️❤️
