A fellow Mamba wrangler. You have refined taste cmdr. People call it a useless ship when the FDL can do everything "better" but f/a off in a Mamba teaches you how to effectively deliver a volley to it's intended target in style like no other ship can. When the gankers show up in their FDLs I never sweat it but when I see that one Elite cmdr in a Mamba I get nervous because that's always the guy that actually knows what he's doing.

The Mamba is pretty cool, although i wish it had better maneuverability, which is why i prefer the Imperial Eagle. It provides a fun challenge for bounty hunting, and you MAY even try it for undermining - although authority vessels are a PITA when it takes this much time to take down enemies, so i mostly recommend this to people/masochists who enjoy the game "getting over it" 😅

The mamba is my favorite ship by far in this game, although i do like the corvette a lot, im always going back to the mamba to figure out how i can engineer it for what i need done

the mamba is by far my favorite off-meta AX ship. not the most effective but the most fun for sure. also noticed you used the 1H and 2S slots for the gauss, much better convergence than the 2M 2S most people do which is what kinda killed the mamba for AX. will have to try that next time

I swear I love the Mamba. It's my main combat ship currently. It may not be as maneuverable as a FDL or AspX, but its speed, thruster sound and looks easily make up for it

you know a lot of people saying a mamba is a bad AX ship, and while it isn't my favorite, its your favorite, and while it might now be able to solo hydras, its what you like and thats what matters.

have you tried to put the gauss on huge, med and small hardpoints? This the way I got mine set up for better convergence, it does mean a small beam but the mamba got speed and utilities for days anyways

Out of curiosity, how is your hull being repaired? Is someone else throwing limpets at you or do you have a launcher I just didn't see you use or what?

Yeah I have a class 5 repair limpet. With only 590 hull it doesn’t take long to repair up if I make a mistake

its a cyclops. its just a fucking cyclops. I can brute force this in a handful of other ships 3-4x faster than you did in this video here but you did it with style and you had me grinning ear to ear the whole time. I loved the "guess that boost sound" segment at the beginning your video has a great choice for music, you fly very well. I can't pick at your mistakes because everyone makes mistakes and the music makes me forget about it. you clearly know your enemy and have practiced to make your technique the best it can be I love this video and I would love to fly with you o7 cmdr signed cmdr deadkat

Someone else is tanking the damage so you don't have to manouver to sit on the thargoid's back and you miscalculate your speed to rotation to distance from target quite often. There was a much better video around of a bunch of dudes doing FA OFF FDL combat within a mining belt, right in between all the *asteroids* and none of them ever bumped into one, all fighting each other full speed, those guys are absolute gods then if this is "what Elite rank really looks like" lol. I wish I could find that video again ; d
