You're a good man for making videos like these. Thank you so much. I've learned so much and got some confidence to work on my NB.

Why is mine not moving how yours did when I push on it? I’ve loosened the other bolts
@MiataMan5 ай бұрын
If all of the bolts are loose (including the lower pivot bolt), you may need to use a pry bar to move the alternator.

heya! I'm using this guide to replace the belt in my 93 Mazda 121 1.3 (B3), and the first bolt to take off is just completely seized and won't really loosen at all, what should I do?

Hey, you can try to heat it up! I did use a propane torch on some other seized bolds on my suspension and it worked great. Only watch out with setting your car on fire

would have been nice to tell us to remove the radiator fan

Most of the early Miatas in this neck if the woods don’t have air conditioning and don’t have the second rad fan on the right side.

Hey man I need help, when I went to change the belt that goes around the alternator the entire tensioner bracket thing was free floating, so I’m unable to actually tighten the belt I have no idea how it was working before this. Is there a bracket that I can buy to attract the tensioner too. Thank you.

Your local Mazda parts department will be able to order the missing/broken parts. They will likely show you a schematic and confirm which parts you need. I hope this helps.

is it the same belt on alternator och AC/PS? B.s Henry
@MiataMan Жыл бұрын
The alternator belt also runs the water pump. The power steering belt runs the AC compressor. The PS/AC belt is longer for AC cars than it is for non AC equipped cars.
