Alice, Try using Albolene on your cuticles and fingertips. It’s a makeup remover but it works on my sore and bleeding fingertips from being outside during winter months. It’s not greasy or messy at all. Amazon sells it. FYI. I like the way you camp. Reminds me of living/dispersed camping :( in the desert in Iraq during my Army time. Extremely hot during the day, no ac. Extremely cold at night no heaters. No bathrooms, just a shovel and a hole and MRE Toilet paper out past the perimeter. Plus wonderful poop beetles attacking you. We’re looking at buying an Aliner or the Rockwood version of it or a Rockwood Geo Pro 19 for our dispersed camping adventures. I love your dispersed camping videos. You are an inspiration to me. Thank you. Mark.

MSFPITTS 99. Thanks for the tip. I guess now I don’t want to dispersed camp in Iraq!

Hey Alice the wife and I have a Rockwood A-Frame camper similar to the A-Liner and we have solved some of the storage problems by building 2 sidewall brackets that fit on the "A" walls at the peaks that support hanging closet cubbies. We picked them up from Amazon for cheap, so the only real difficult part was making the brackets fit the A wall's thickness. They work perfectly! Just a thought for your storage needs. Wherever you go, there you are! Happy Camping!

Thanks! We just finished another trip (video pending) and managed to fix a few storage problems, by adding more stacking plastic shelves over the refrigerator and hanging one other suitcase on a wall at night. For us it's quicker to take down the plastic stacking drawers/shelves when we break camp and get back on the road. But it's still a work in progress...

We love our Mr. Buddy propane heater when we dry camp in our Aliner. We don't use it all night but turn it on in the morning and makes it very toasty.

try using vinegar and water solution in a squirt bottle on some of your dishes. it wipes dry, saves water and soap and sanitizes too.

Ya I think we'll try that one and see if it removes more food before using the final soap. Thanks.

I love that you are cooking in cast iron. I cook almost exclusively on cast iron. It is the best cookware ever made! BTW, that cookware isn't a Dutch oven. It is actually a camp oven. (Although it does pretty much the same things.) A Dutch oven has 3 legs on the bottom and a concave rather than a convex lid. Once properly seasoned, your cast iron shouldn't need those liners. It'll have a non-stick surface that rivals the most expensive cookware you can buy. Check out a few cast iron cooking videos here on YT. It'll make your life easier. For doing dishes, put a plastic basin into the sink. After washing the dishes, skim any food particles off the top of the water and throw in trash. Dispose of the water in the sink drain. (gray tank) On the solar: Renogy is now making 200 watt solar suitcases. You can buy them either with or without the controller. I am a fan of the suitcase design. You don't need to always park your rig in the sun and roof real estate isn't a worry. The trade off is that you have to get the suitcase out and put it away each time you move your rig. You can buy the suitcase without the controller and then buy and mount a controller inside the rig near the batteries. If you want to just keep your current suitcase, it is easy to bypass the built-in controller and use one of your own choice (and mount it where you like.) But do not mount the controller outside. They are not weather proof and in most cases, they are not even weather resistant. Good luck and enjoy your learning experiences as you do more and more boondocking.
