I upgraded my iPhone 15 Pro to iOS 18 on Monday evening. Yesterday, I started Apple Carplay and did a quick runthrough of the installed apps. For some reason, on my phone, PlugShare will NOT load. Looks like we need an update. I'm also on V012 of the EV6 infotainment system.

Could also be that Plugshare App needs an updatefor iOS support. My iPad is overrun by updates lat few days.

Thanks, Brian! I also spot some new features in EV9: - new EV page with widgets - new seats control page - same changes within navigation, as you mentioned Maybe something else, but I don't recall 🤔 😊 Have a good one!

I will have to see menus the new Facelifted EV6 has when i test drive in October. May be very similar.

Hi there, there was a really annoying bug that has been fixed with the Infotainment update: We like to play music from a USB stick in the USB socket, and would set it random mode, where it would work as expected, picking any of the 6500+ tracks from any of the hundreds of albums. However, when the car is switched off and on again, the random play would only play from whichever album was playing before power off, meaning we have to dig back into the settings to select the root music folder and re-enable random play. Thankfully this was fixed, and the car resumes playing random tracks when powered on.

I haven't had a chance to install the update yet on my Canadian EV6, but have they added the ability to remove charging stops on a route yet? I prefer to stop at stations that still do time-based billing vs. per-kWh ones (usually save ~50-75% of the cost), but the route planning obviously doesn't take this into account.

I honestly don't know,will take a look tomorrow for you if I remember

Just checked,you can remove them from route overview but it recalculates and puts them back in. On the new route overview screen,press the Kia flag button down bottom of Maps screen you now have re-route option

Hi Brian: Hope you can help me..... Just about to upgrade my E-Niro for an EV6 to get faster charging speed as we head to Spain each year, and to include Tesla Superchargers in their EV6 navigation system so that they can be used with the new route planning features that were introduced recently. At present I use ABRP with an OBD reader to use TESLA Sperchargers as they are c. 1/2 the price to use (with a Tesla Account) but it's a bit of a FAFF and if I can use the on-board navigation it would be much simpler..... Thanks in anticipation. Kindest regards Stewart

Congratulations! At this stage Tesla chargers are still missing from built in Navigation Maps so it’s still a pain. Hopefully the fact that Hyundai Group has done a deal with Tesla in US and also the fact that Tesla chargers will appear on Hyundai Group maps in the US from early 2025 is a sign that we get all of the open chargers added in the EU in 2025. In the meantime the best you can do is to add a nearby DC charger as a stop off point into your route in the Kia Nav so hopefully the battery pre-condition will work so that you can get maximum charging speed. One day we can hope this will all be perfect…

@evodessey Brian: Thanks for the help and info. Hopefully, they will get their collaborative acts together by the time we head back down to Spain next February 🤞. Good idea for a workaround. Thanks for the update, keep up the great work - Stewart👍

Hello Brian, I was totally surprised when I saw that you had the menu item “Radio Noise Control” under Sounds. I don't have this in Germany. So can you set different volume levels for Carplay and radio? Because that's exactly what's been missing since the update, I can only set one volume for Carplay AND radio.
@evodessey2 ай бұрын
That Radio noise control has been in there for a good while. May also be on the radio menus on the radio app. Will have to check.If you turn Android Auto up in the Sound menu it also raises the Radio volume so i guess the answer is no. That is what is causing the problem for many of us.
@evodessey2 ай бұрын
Double checked,it only appears if you have Dab or FM and there is a shortcut from the radio hamburger menu
@edvservice-maier2 ай бұрын
@@evodessey Ok, the "Radio Noise Control" doesn't exist in Germany, I looked again at another EV6, this one doesn't have it either. But no matter, I thought it might be possible to change the different volume levels here.
@garretfarrell21702 ай бұрын
I was just coming on to say that since the update I can't have a separate volume for radio and my blue tooth connected phone. This was definitely possible before the update. Has that been removed? I'm not talking about the plugged in android auto.

I think those symbols on the charging speed are saying "50kW or more", and "less than 50kW"

No doubt about that.

Is there any way to set the volume for radio and bluetooth separately? It used to be separated before the update, now the volume levels are shared. This is an annoyance (at least for me) as I have to up the level for Bluetooth and when I change back to radio I am blasted by whatever the station plays at that moment... (German version)

I’ve not found a way. I don’t like what they’ve done to volume settings in this update.
