Im not sure whats the temp u bake tht clay under, but if it is higher temp,wht bout tht original tamper? Wouldn’t tht interfere with it and change the harness of the blade?

The temp is not high enough to effect the blade

But that is a good question and something to give attention to

The oven should be set to about 350 F. Typically for 30 minutes per 1/4 inch of the thickness of the clay. That will do nothing at all to the temper of the blade. I temper steel to make knives in my spare time.
