@@finalresult3d 22:00 - You're so on a roll, man. This is production-ready level. Now we need to cover online render farms. Cheers. 23:00 - Yes, do a comparison. I did one about Redshift and Modo and Mental Ray years ago, you can imagine: people roasted me. But 2020 Octane + Cycles would be cool to see.

Man you are killing it with those tutorials !!! keep teaching us please! You mentioned using IES light, and I saw the option in the projection parameter but I can't make it work. I haven't seen any forum on the subject. and IES light can't be imported inside blender "as is" .Could you please tell us where you found the protocol ? or even better make a small viseo about it ? You seem to be the only one who knows how to get the best out of blender octane.

I was hoping you were going to do camera mapping as in projecting images onto geometry to create a 3D scene for a set extension.

Hi, I'm loving your videos (please never stop uploading). I've always had problems with Noise in octane, but I don't know if I skip some part... How can I make my octane "denoise" like yours? Thanks a lot!

Great channel. I’m sure you mentioned this somewhere but what is your rig? Looks like octane can render fog way faster than cycles.

This is amazing! Thank you so much! I have a question. Let's say your using the same daylight setup on the window and want to have tree line 'gobo' from an image alpha. How will you set it up or do you project image? just something weird I thought through while watching the video.
@finalresult3d
@finalresult3d 4 жыл бұрын
You could have a tree line as a PNG (make sure is alpha masked). Put it in front of the window, that would project a tree line gobo for you.

Oh man this was almost super helpful for me until I realized it's for Octane. Can someone outline how this can be done with Cycles?

I can't think of too many situations where you would want fog which was not surrounding the camera. That is pretty useless. I am also trying it as you are, and not working.
@finalresult3d
@finalresult3d 3 жыл бұрын
If you have ever been in the middle of dense fog it literally looks like no fog is around you. Put the camera extremely close to your cube of fog. Parent the cube to the camera. That way you can move around in the scene and the fog will always stay in front of you.
