I personally have some pretty complex feelings on yoga, since I am Hindu, and yoga comes from our tradition. I am irritated at the pop spirituality that's come with it, but I am somehow also proud of my cultural heritage. That, and it's good exercise, and I got through the worst of the pandemic taking yoga classes with my mom.

i wish you would refer to some indigenous sources for these topics. for example, reducing vivekananda and ramakrishna to "some gurus" is criminal. they were both heavily involved in the freedom struggle and a particular brand of egalitarianism unique to the bengalis
