1. Thank you for the tips. 2. I have a genuine question. Did the Buddhist agree to be shown on youtube? what about privacy rules? do you always check it in every country, ask people or just don't care (didn't think about it) unless someone will report she/he want to be removed? I'm asking here as I would like to respect people privacy not to mention follow the law ;) In the other hand people make this world more interesting...so it is nice to film them. How is your approach it?

Thanks for this video Pascal, it’s excellent. The title attracted me because I never have a plan with my B-roll. When I visit a place, the layout and circumstances spontaneously create the plan. Your summary is the best advice. Shoot for the edit. Always have storytelling in mind but spending time getting variations on a given sequence gives you maximum flexibility in post. Push-in, but also pull-out. Pan both right and left, Tilt-up as well as down. Don’t forget to get a wide shot of your telephoto to give it location. When you make a camera movement, also do a variation where you start with a held shot and end the move with a held shot. This gives you maximum flexibility for smoothly transitioning to your next clip, which can now be a static, pan right or left, reveal or whatever. Your advice to get fillers is important. They don’t even have to relate to the main subject. Colorful foliage moving in the breeze etc. My mindset is that I’ll only be in this place once in a lifetime so make the most of it.

Was cool to see some of the movements you use, feel the recommendation is b-roll equal 60p in the end even you start the video by recommending 24p (wish in one of your coming video to see some aspect about indoor or night video shots as I rarely see your youtube content in those conditions)
@pascalbasel3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, actually some of the clips are 60p on a 24p timeline without slow motion and it's not noticeable (aside from the missing motion blur). Thanks for the recommendation. I will bring out a video about my new KZbin studio in the next few weeks. That will be a bit about indoor shooting.
