I am finally Type rated on the A330 - How was Line training?

A type rating is basically the benchmark required by standardized agencies, such as the FAA in the United States, in order to operate certain types of aircraft.

Congrats on the type rating, Pascal!! I just completed my ATPL theory exams last month (have been flying with PPL for 6 years now) and am considering going all in on aviation as a second career at age 39. Being super international already, I feel like the North Atlantic skies are calling 😁. What do you think is the shortest path to long haul flying? Some years at a short haul airline are mandatory to gain experience as far as I know? Thanks for the videos & love your positive attitude 🛫

Hey Norbert, it’s never to late to go all in. Dreams are there to fulfill them 🙌. Yes, with most long haul airlines in Europe you need a minimum of 1000hrs on short haul. I wish you the best of luck 🙌✌️

Vielen Dank dir! Ja ich kann mich echt nicht beschweren. Aber da sieht man, dass eine Kündigung manchmal auch neue Türen öffnen kann und man am Ende sogar glücklicher da stehen kann als zuvor.

@@Pascalklr ja das stimmt…naja mal sehen, wo ich lande 😅fange wahrscheinlich im April meine atpl Ausbildung an. Aber leider ,,nur“ privat. Die EFA ist ja mittlerweile überhaupt nicht mehr bezahlbar. Das grenzt ja schon an Wucher. Privat ist halt zurzeit 30k billiger…aber da ist eben das Risiko höher, nach der Ausbildung erst mal nichts zu finden..
