As a former instructor just think of these dance steps as marching in place (cha,cha,cha) the rock step forward step and back, then (step in place 3 steps) repeat next only switch and step forward and back and (cha,cha) step step (cha,cha) Just repeat: step back & forward, in place 2 steps and switch step forward & back (cha,cha) “easy!” To turn your position just slightly turn you ur forward step angled to the left. Cha cha in place Back step cha cha turn your foot slightly again as you step forward. You can resume dancing in place at any point. Hope it helps.

This is how I learned to cha-cha American style.....in 1996. I know the forward and back - the 5th break (aka 5th position break), the classic Spot Turns (aka push-away turns), the crossover break (aka New York), and the "side break" basic (aka pressure step basic, or the cucaracha basic). Just simply add a simple cross-body lead to your forward-and-back basic in the cha-cha, and you will get the cha-cha fundamentals - basic level of course - down.....

Same here. I'd say that all dance videos should have a back viewing rather than just a front viewing because it is tricky to get the moves correct when following a dancer/the instructor is facing you/the camera

I agree when you have your back to the camera it is easy to follow and when you can see the ladies legs I can follow her. When the instructor faces you, you have to mentally turn all the steps round which can be confusing . I am trying to start dancing again with my partner following your videos.
