Hi Dave, love your paintings. Absolutely brilliant. Definitely I'm d love to see more landscapes. This one is beautiful but my favourite is the one with the sun shining through those trees down that long stretch of road. I can just see me and my little dog walking down that road. The way the suns ray's are shining through those trees. I love the feeling that painting gives me. Just pure peace and joy. Thank you for that. I hope there's going to be more where that came from.. God bless you and your talent. Look forward to seeing more of it. Susan 👍🎨😀🐶🙏🕊💕

I'd love if you could do a "mini series" where you focus on specific topics like leaves on trees, tree trunks, sky, clouds, reflections, etc. It's amazing watching you draw large artworks, but they are bit beyond my comfort at the moment. Dave, another wonderful piece. I have followed most of your videos. Every now and then you take a black pencil for eyes or the Lilly pads, but in your pencil lists in all your videos I have never found a black. I have bought several black pencils of all the famous brands, but none are soft and intense. The best I have is charcoal , but I am not sure if I should use that in my pastel paintings. What do you use? Thanks again for a wonderful lesson.
@DavePortersArt3 жыл бұрын
Hi Willem, thrilled you are enjoying my videos. I use the Carbothello black the more it seem to mix well and creates a natural shadow without looking too dull... for more intense black I have occasionally used the Caran d ache and Rembrandt sticks. All the best... Dave

I do use Pastelmat, but am finding that the FC is not interested in blending, only if I have put a layer down of Rembrandt first... have you experienced this before?
@DavePortersArt3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jan, I have replied to your previous comments saying the same thing... They are a little hard to be honest, ok for detail work... I would recommend buying conte a paris they are really great price and very soft and blend easy. Also I would recommend buying a carbothello white and black and the same for caran d'ache... it would make it easier. You can get them as a single pencil rather than buying the whole sets. 🙏🙏
