This group is incredible--like a female CSN, except with better lyrics. This song brings chills to my spine and tears to my eyes. Holy shit! Just pre-ordered the vinyl. Keep it coming, ladies!

We buried a seed underneath the ground We waited to see if the rain would come down Tell me it's a good start I'm a good heart And this might turn us back around Tell me that the rain will fall That this garden wall Will see us grow up out the ground We watched as the seasons came and passed Autumn, winter, and spring: still the drought outlasted us Tell me it was a good start I'm still a good heart Though I couldn't grow us a flower I can't make the rain fall Or the trees tall Any more than what yours could be ours You're not ours Oh, there's no more reason to wait Oh, there's no more reason to wait Oh, there's no more reason to wait Oh, there's no more reason to wait

8 years ago I wrote the above comment. I’ve been lucky enough to watch them live 4 times now and they have grown from strength to strength, yet still seem so down to earth, humble and just really patient with the fans at the shows I’ve been to. This is still my favourite track and video after all those years. It’s still just stunning even after all these years and more fantastic songs

Whining out high voices that do not enunciate is not singing..They butcher the music....And have great harmonies many times but butcher the music.
@Emryth-eb4zq7 жыл бұрын
Brad Pipal music is not all about precision and perfect enunciation. It is about emotions and stories. They are not butchering anything. There are many artist's who use the same vocal techniques that are used by this group, wether you like it or not. Art in any form cannot survive within strict boundaries and guidelines without becoming stagnant. oh and I don't hear any high whining voices. I hear high notes, Fantastic harmonies and Tons of emotion.

I never liked this view on it. Who was it who set the rules to the music and singing? Who was it who said what's good or bad? Nobody has the right to do so. There isn't such a person who invented/discovered music. If it pleases your soul than it's definitively right. I think it's the same as with beauty, it's subjective. Different eyes see different things, just like different ears hear different things.

Can anyone tell me what mics they are using?
@bobmallory5 жыл бұрын
cranshawmccaw The black center mic is a Michael Joly modified Oktava 219. The silver mics on the outsides are Neumann tlm103 mics. There’s a tiny lav mic in the acoustic, it’s an Audio Technica Pro70.
