"What do you have for me today Lord., which direction should I take, whom should I pray for, who should I visit. What of your precious Word to I need to read today? And so on, Perhaps asking, "Lord, whom do I need to forgive" and "Lord, from what do I need to repent from? In both cases waiting quietly on the Lord for His divine answer. That way you may find, as I did on a couple of couple of occasions, you are forgiving someone from your school days.

I really love this song but I have fallen so far you say that help comes from the Lord I was a church leader for 20 years served God gave everything. Due to no fault of my own all to do with money and bad leadership by a bishop (who lost his job just recently because of the mess he made) all was stripped away from me

What is worship? Is it the outflow of local churches - individual bodies of Christ - or is it Christian Music Industry 2.0 ("worship" music)- where hall of famers come together to make dream teams - is it the output of record companies and their teams of songwriters? God thought it was so important that worship be embodied - instead of a set of ideas or practices - that he gave us a Person. Yet in the last few decades we have managed to ignore this - we've disembodied worship. We have lost the connection between worship and churches and the fact that local churches are God's plan to be Jesus to the world. Instead we have record companies who promote worship "artists" disconnected from the churches from which they come and in which they should be using their gifts (if indeed worship artists are more committed to ministry through their church and local churches than activities outside). What even is a worship "artist"? I know what a musician is. I know what a Christian is. And I know what worship is (first whole of life - second and optionally expressed in song, dance etc). But what is a worship "artist"? A worship leader is supposed to be God taking a model of what it means to be a faithful Christian and amplifying it - making it known. Being a disciple is the essential part - being a worship leader is the optional part. Worship leading is a gift to the church which is only able to operate because a ton of other people use their gifts - people set up church, tech people do incredibly hard and demanding work - other musicians and singers play and sing. Songwriters write songs. And yet by disconnecting it from church it no longer points either to other gifts used to build up the church or the communities that are church - it not longer benefits from the influence of the combined gifts of the rest of the church in even knowing what it is.

Upon reading your comment it brings to mind a song titled "so long Self" regardless the means methods or measures taken to bring this light in the world one cannot nullify its impact on this community although I wholeheartedly understand what you're saying, I believe many have lost themselves and are praising the one who is truly Worthy... Makes no matter to me how the mustard seeds are planted as long as they are nurtured

If I asked you the question "Is there power in individuals witnessing for Jesus?" you would presumably say yes - and there is power in individuals witnessing for Jesus. But John 13:35 says that there is a more potent form of evangelism: By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” When those who don't believe see Christians loving each other this is more powerful. The way to reach non-Christians is for them to be welcomed into contexts where Christians are in ongoing relationships in which they love one other. So it isn't that there isn't value in some activities which are a kind of weaker broadcast of the truth - but the question remains - are we asking how to do things the best way? And I believe that the best thing is for worship to be strongly linked to local churches and for it to be presented electronically as embedded (part of that being not to draw attention only to the leader).
