Robert Whitcomb we know his name and to answer your other question: He's underrated because if you talked to most people during the 80s about guitarists, the name Neil Giraldo probably wouldn't have been brought up. Names like Eddie, Randy, Satriani, Slash, Yngwie, George Lynch, Steve Vai, and many others would have been said way before him. And except for a few standouts, his name should be right up there because he's just as good, but really didn't get the same credit as those guys.

@@sl4983 Pat Benetar had so many excellently written songs it was almost unbelievable back then, I'd listen to this entire cassette tape back then and every song was a winner in all ways. Yes...I said "cassette tape". There were no cds or dvds back then. It was an acquired skill (only mastered after putting in too many hours of practice) to be able to land exactly on the beginning of any particular song on any cassette. No auto search or any other offers of assistance came from those mindless cassette players of the 70's & 80's. lol. People born after 1985 will never know the horrors of my / our #MisspentYouth . ha. She and her band gave every all male group a real run for their money.

Here's a little story that you've probably never heard anything about: sometime in the 1970s, before Pat became a rocker and got a label deal, she was living in Richmond, Va. (my hometown) with her military-member 1st husband. At that time she was singing sedate cocktail-lounge music with a small jazz combo. So, one day, she and her band did a performance on the local public t.v. station, and I saw it. I remembered it later because it wasn't long after that she re-emerged as a leotard-wearing, chopped-hair hard rocker, which was a shocking, 180° change from the frilly-blouse-demure-skirt-wearing, soft-jazz-singing woman I had seen on t.v. not that long before. I swear that's a true story, and that I still remember it all these years later. I'm probably one of the few people who remembers the pre-rocker Pat Benatar crooner.
