This is called "soul" folks. This can't be taught. Auto-tune cannot emulate this. This artist was in another dimension when she recorded these vocals. This is a true female artist and deserves praise as long as the Earth rotates around the Sun. Top tier and nothing can come close to Pat's vocals.

In 1982 I was a freshman in HS. These early MTV videos meant EVERYTHING to us kids. The next day at school we’d talk about “see those camouflage drums in the Pat Benetar video yesterday?” or “see the live Rush video of Tom Sawyer?” Stuff of that nature. It was a wonderful time to grow up.

Pat is AMAZING!! All her songs are great, but this is by far my fav. She's smokin' hot & she can ROCK! And finally...INDUCTED IN THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME. (Took long enough) Congrats! I can't think of anyone that deserves it more! Thanks for the great music, Pat.

Pat Benetar was part of my growing up. I remember her as the most bad-ass, cool and happening and classy rocker girl of that time. Nothing but good memories. Thanks Pat :)

Saw them live way back on the Get Nervous tour. Went in a Pat Benatar fan, left a Myron Grombacher and Neil Giraldo fan. Just something about the feel and groove they played with.

What an excellent song. At this moment, I can't think of any woman who can sing with such emotion and delivery as Pat Benatar. It sucks you in, gets in your face, and hits you right in the feels!

Agreed. This is the pure rock sound and Pat totally was the first. Janis and the others was a bit different in a way, one can easily see the difference between them by just listen their song, No need to be a professional or something. This sound is the rock, the first thing that comes to mind when one heard the words "rock music" without any specific sub-genres or metal-like genres. This is real and amazing...
