Pat's Finest Crazy Talk Moment (and a Super Best Friends Tribute)

At first, this was just a short animation based on a fun idea I had, inspired by Best Friends Lore and the SBF fanbase.
But then the inevitable happened: they decided to quit and disbanded the group.
For the longest time I just thought the Super Best Friends Channel was just this little thing that I really liked, with some guys I found fun to listen to, and little else.
However, I quickly realized just how invested I had become in both their lives and their work. When I heard the news I felt a rare moment of melancholy like I had reached the end of an era. While it was just a silly Let's Play channel, it was still something that was a part of my life for years, and gave me many happy moments.
I am grateful for all the joy they've given me and their fans, and sincerely hope for the best in their future endeavors, which I will likely try to follow.

Everyone has their moments, their enjoyments, their regrets. Once thing I'll say is the journey of the Super Best Friends will never truly end. A toast for all of the good times we got to share, embrace, and learn from. Even when they're appart, they still are around to enjoy. And finally thanks for being the first Letsplay channel I enjoyed, because those experiences inspired me to get out their in the world. I started watching them in the initial re2 playthrough. I basically watched them daily since then. It is wild what a truly foundational piece of my childhood they were, and in an era of horrific internet drama, I am glad it ended with the grace it did. I still watch much of their solo content and it feels good to know that at least some people on the internet can be normal enough to have friendships break apart without making it everyone else's problem and to deal with it maturity. I still really appreciate how so much of the fanbase mourned and didn't fall into the trap of rumormongering as much as they could have. It's weird to think how healthy the sbfp fanbase is/was, but I'm grateful that, after so many childhood creators turning out to be awful, I can still cherish these ones.

@@AsIfrasle The developer actually did a really good job of hiding it. The moment Spider is introduced to the party literally everyone stops saying Redips' name. They just call him things like the boss or Colonel R. all the way up until the end of the game. That's why Liam and Woolie both noticed it at the same time. It was the first time since Spider's introduction that Redips' name was spoken.

They were never really good friends with each other. They were each good friends with Woolie, but not that well acquainted with each other when Woolie put them together for Matt's idea to audition for Machinima. The clash of personalities made great content, but those two were never going to be natural friends.

The first one is from Evil Within 2. Pat walked into a room full of trip wires and the first game was notorious for having a glitch that made the trip wires invisible at certain angles. The ones in Evil Within 2 were perfectly visible, and right after Pat boasts about beating them when they were invisible, he walks into one that’s as clear as day.
