It's a deliberate mistranslation. The character is not 'non-binary'. The actual translation is simply: "This is more convenient for me." "It lets me keep it a secret that I'm alive." Later, the character says: "What are you saying?" "*I'm a guy*, I obviously wouldn't like him."

Consider how Steins:Gate introduced an AMAB character who dressed and acted like a woman and so desperately wanted to be AFAB that they literally re-wrote the past to make it happen, and yet the author insists that the character is not a woman. Death of the Author exists for a reason - for situations like this.

As someone who has beaten the game like 100%, i will say this critique without spoiling anything. The ending made sense as much as it could with what they set up............I just didn't like it. Aaaaaannnd I do feel that splitting the story among 13 protagonists was kind of dumb thing to do because some peeps get WAY more play and it just makes the other characters a slog and not fun to sit through. But the game is still gorgeous..................gameplay wise, I wish they added in those like Super Robot wars cutscenes every time you initiated a attack, as i feel it would make the battles seem more badass then just the flashes of color you end up seeing. Loved this game but Odin Sphere was a better experience beginning to end......it was just hard at some points.
