Twenty five years ago I was hair model like Dan. One day, I had my hair down and it got sucked into the back of a drill. Had to cut the drill out. Got a haircut the next day. On a plus note, my shower drain doesn't get clogged up anymore.

I was helping my buddy wrench on his 67 chevy 2 about 30 years ago. He had Dan-like hair and just moved. In his new garage there was abt 7 tools and 5 were hammers, real sparce. He hops on the creeper, rolls under the nova and i hear the worst scream. His hair wrapped into a caster; it pulled his head tight to the creeper frame. Took 10min to get him on his feet, i reached for my pocketknife but he wouldn't let me cut his hair. Spent the next hour plus using vice grips on the allen-headed caster nut. Still needed to cut the caster out. Don't be a statistic, dan; get a hair tie. Nice work on that fender👍🏻

I know I comment a lot but in the beginning about a bench. What about some sort of attachment top with 2 legs that’d use the lift track but you could pin it to the floor with inset floor anchors? Just a thought since you’re pressed for floor space. I have a 14’x42’ garage so I really have to get creative. 🤙🏻 love this truck build.

For a budget workbench, look for stainless steel restaurant tables in the size that you want. They have a lower shelf as well. You add on lockable casters. Strong enough to wham on and easy to clean. Drill some holes and mount a vise. Roll it right up to what you are working on. Nice Truck! Lots of potential.

Dan, i really enjoyed watching you work with what you have fo fabricate those patch panels a d especially the brace. Your crescent wrench brake work was outstanding. That's why I love this show. You work like most of us do without all the expensive tools, eventhough you are a 4 post/ rotisserie snob. LOL. Really I was impressed with how it turned out. With that said I am sorry you and now Dani still have the need to constantly complain about negative internet input and say youll ignore and dont care about our comments but then at the end of each video you ask for our comments. I have been here since you first video and believe I am a positive poster. I get how negative people and comments can be discouraging and hurtful , especially with how hard you work. I would say 95% of the comments here are positive. Don't let the 5% bother you so much that you discourage those who are always there for you. KZbin casts a wide net. Most people are great and supportive. A few are only happy if they have to make someone miserable. Been that way forever. You and Dani are great and so much fun to watch. Enjoy your lives. Sorry so long Dude.

Dan you keep saying I NEED a WORK BENCH, go ahead and build one ket a sheet of metal and some angle iron and make it. Build it the size you want it to be. The idea of a recever mounted vise is great had them on our work trucks years ago, interchangeable attachments for the win out of the way when not needed.
@patrickcardon711415 күн бұрын
Great job on the truck! A cheap (around 20 bucks, U.S) bending pliers/hand seamer will make bending the panel skin smoother and quicker. You can easily make one, I'm sure, with a vise grip and scrap 6" metal pieces.

When I first started working in the body shop I worked with a couple older guys that would put a door shin on with zero filler on the outside and you have to be good to do that and back then working on cars from the 60s and early 70s the sheet metal was alot better then the new stuff you only need a couple of tack welds on the inside the skin but you do want to put seam sealer in the seams to keep water out.
