I think this is wonderful! I’ve been playing with luxury watches since the 90s. I’d love to once again be able to get anything I want from an AD, or, grab something at a discount from the secondary market. It was a wonderful way to truly experience anything you wanted without losing your shirt or playing popularity contests with ADs.

i went to an A Lang AD and they of course had no watches in the store. Told me to leave my number. The Next day! I got a call saying they had a watch for me. I told them i will wait. This is a sign of times to come. Discounts at AD are coming back. You are a sucker if you pay retail in the next 12 months. You are an IDIOT if you pay above retail

I don't want to buy a Rolex ever, 1.2 million watches produced per year makes Rolex an overpriced Tissot, save yourselves money and get a Tissot PRX 80.

Yes without a doubt , done done done , everyone does not want to see all the Rolexes they have on others wrist , it’s all about the independents. If you’re gonna spend money you want it to be special , if I see another black sub or this or that… who cares . Micro brands will be the market , look at what LV is doing … it’s apparent . And large brands doing the stupid limited additions of the same stupid watch is ridiculous .

The Swiss mechanical watch exports more than doubled in quantity from about 2000 to 2019. Yet demand exceeded supply because, I think, China has become the largest consumer. Increased production and lower demand is good for the end consumer. The flippers are licking their wounds.

And a D from the Rolex distributor gives anywhere between a 20% to a 45% discount depending on how much watches they sell but I have a friend and his mom and dad is third generation jewelry shop and they’ve been selling Rolexes since the 60s and that’s what Rolex does I mean yo I bought a panda they call it no better back and that they are in yo when I bought it, they gave me a 30% discount off of manufacture because of the time they were getting a 30% discount from Rolex they’re not a big ad because they only sell may be oh 8 watches a year so and I know they get a 30% discount from the distributor Rolex

More or less this is Rolex and Ap, patek a little bit BUT the fp journes and micro independents are holding up. The watch market is dead yes, but it’s also shifting , everyone wants something that the other guy does not have , independents will grow the big boys will suffer .

Juan, with so many better classier brands than vanilla toy shop Rolex, and with all the hate on the management on the Ad's, I think the best cause of action is to simply boycott Rolex, don't mention them again. This is the best way to send a message. The problem is, all of the Rolex soy boys on you tube just can't help themselves. Cheers.

What a rant! Rolex has been difficult to get since quite some time. It only got worse in the last three years. However no business person is an angel. They do business not charity. Business with no morals or social responsibility. AD or not.
