@@moorechristopher873 oh please! that's a weak excuse that changes nothing about the truth in the doubt of the paternity. There is there no man on this earth that can make me stoop to that level, if it is against my morals and character to do so. She wanted to cheat, just like he does, she just uses his cheating as an excuse to get away with hers. except oops now a baby is brought into the mix and because we know who the mother is, the father is filled with every viable reason to doubt. That man owned up to his faults (while seemingly doing nothing to change it) while she did nothing but blame him for her choices as a grown a$$ independent woman. doing nothing but making excuses for a woman who could very simply walk away from a cheater but chooses to cheat to "get even". Cheating is still cheating no matter the reason. They're both cheaters.

That’s because it’s emotionally easier to have an absent father than a narcissistic mother. It’s also harder being mad at the dead when you are in grief. It’s easier to scream at the living than someone you’re in grief over losing. The girl needs to be in intense therapy. Especially since she was in foster and that obviously left damage.

@@gooddogtalksthat is opposite of my experience. It was always my mother that was there, even when it was hard. My father was in the military and in and out every other year. By time I was in 4th grade, I would have preferred that he didn't come back. We were poorer when he was gone, but the world didn't revolve around him like when he was home. It was like a stranger butting in every other year. He would come in and take over. Supposedly we were close when I was a little kid, but I don't remember that. I totally understand why kids give their mothers more leeway, it's because that is who is there for them, even if they are less than perfect. Fathers walk away if they are inconvenienced. You can't trust them.

@@kadebebesis4204 so true. No matter how I express my unconditional love for my son. I still became his target. I think it's because I'm relevant in his life. Where as his father being decease and absent prior to his departure. My son had nothing tangible to Blame his father for. So as an adult and parent it's expected to bear that cross. Only because the WORLD VIEW from the eyes of a child is different from the lense of an adult. Constant communication, attentive listener, receptive to the truth ,conditioning and just getting to the root. Is all one can do for healing. Also my grandmother's kids resent her for the way she disciplined and how she expressed the kind of men they should date. I had to explain to these now adults that their mother was raised in a time that men ruled, beat women, and kept them pregnant. MY grandmother escaped that life with no education. Moved to the U.S with 5 kids. She had explained to me her world view was the segregation of various colored children be treated differently. Which was one reason why she was opposed to her children dating dark skinned men. I shared this story. Because without being receptive to the idea of listening to an individuals life choices and what molded them. We would never overstand the love of history. Thank you for sharing your experience.

The second case: I get she desperately wanted the guy to be the dad but her mum and her mum's family are the ones who did her WRONG. Don't know why she was even angry at the guy when the grandma took her back cause she didn't get the benefits she wanted from having her out if foster care. She is angry with the wrong person. Trauma. Some kids cling to the parent that was there others like myself cling to the one the one that wasn't. I'm just now at 31 repairing the relationship with my mother who wasn't necessarily kind to me but was present & have chosen for my own peace of mind to go no contact with my father who i use to put in a pedalstool. It really depends. She could have respect for her mother for giving her up knowing that she couldn't do better for her children. When you're deprived of the bare minimum when it comes to love from your parent a crumb of attention seems like a grand gesture.

To the second story. He isn’t making your Mom look bad, your Mom made herself look bad by acting that way. He’s reciting facts, not lies. Also asking someone “why didn’t you leave them if they were so bad,” is something you NEVER say to any victim of domestic abuse. My Mom was stuck with my Dad for 10 years before she finally got things set up to be able to leave him.

The second case just breaks my heart and i wish that whoever is going through something similar should know that it’s never there fault and they shouldn’t blame themselves ever. when i have my kids i will make sure that their life is amazing, and teach them that there’s nothing more beautiful than knowing you have a mother and father who love and adore you.

That second case had me a little teary-eyed. That woman was so distraught. And I'm curious if the brother was his son or not? Mothers need to do better for their kids. I think sometimes some of us want to save face and some are just selfish liars but at the end of the day, once youre a mom your kids come FIRST. Especially when theyre little. The foster care system is overloaded and has been for a very long time. And when it comes to Black and Brown kids, its alot harder to find people to adopt them. We also dont have enough Black and Brown people as foster parents and that's so important. Im curious as to why the mother's family didnt take the kids in. Im not judging. I know from personal experience that sometimes family just cant take on kids. Im just wondering what the situation was. I hope she's able to find her father.

Not in the old days fathers didn't sign. In Canada no father signs anything. Birth certificates aren't done in the hospital. You send away for them to the govt. You just get a birth registration card with baby and mom name. My son was 12 before I sent for his birth certificate and I never put father on yet father was ordered child support because he wanted visitation.

Same where I live. The husband is the father, the end. Getting out of it is a circus and if the mother works against you, 50/50 tough luck. If you didnt do it in 1 year of finding out, sucks to be you. If you didnt do it before the kid turns 4 (going by first court date, not date of filing!), sucks to be you. Getting engaged to or married to a woman that you reasonably could have or should have known to be pregnant equals adoption, where you knowingly take the chance to raise another mans baby. No way no how you get out of that one. Trust me on this.
