I adore the Cayden is not a zealot, unlike even other good gods. He's the god of alcohol! Weeey! ... But also of overcoming addiction. He's loves prostitutes! Weeey! ... And treating them with decency and respect. He says we should all have a good time! Weeey! ... But never at the expense of others, as we have a duty to do the right thing whever we can. His core tenants is basically 'be chill dude' and he means it.

My favorite piece of lore about Gorum is the fact that his priests ask those who want to join them, "Will you fight?" Not "Can you fight," but "WILL you fight?" In other words, do you have the desire and force of will to fight?

I really have a soft spot for Kurgess, mostly for the comedic potential his priests allow. I imagine everytime there is a good natured competition, they just pop up out of nowhere to act as judges and/or commentators. Usually accompanied by the pillarmen theme.

I think I prefer these to the main deities. In the sense that while I can think of ways to fit some of the main Gods to character concepts I already have, several of these Gods make me want to make characters around them. A paladin of Cayden, or a cleric of Kurgess or Besmara all sound like great fun.

If I lived in the Pathfinder universe I'd either be a follower of Sarenrae or Cayden. No matter which faith would be my "main faith" I'd also certainly pray from time to time to the other god quite frequently. Desna too since she is also shares the forgivness aspect with Sarenrae(though I think Sarenrae is most likely to take up arms if there is no possibility of redemption than Desna) and the wanderlust and freedom with Cayden.

Your Videos are awesome! But sadly you left out some of the mercyful side of Gorum. As in you should accept the surrender of enemys, and never kill them or other prisoners. Surrendering is honorable, and it enables them to fight another day (for gorum). That is the part that sold me on this unique deity, and led to my mighty Warpriest of Gorum, Slayer of Demons and Children alike. (The children insisted on fighting, and he would never deny them their wish for honorable death in battle)

That's a really fun character concept, and you're right, there's a lot more to say on Gorum, he's a really fun deity. If you check out my Outer Planes: The Heavens video I talk a little bit about Gorum's divine domain there as well and you might find that interesting.

Aye. I was happy to see during a WotR playthrough that he writers gave opportunities for followers of Gorum to be kind in victory. When fighting Ciar’s squire, I had not only an extra chance to attack with our mutual understand if Gorum, but after? I had a Gorum-specific option to honestly say that he’ll be feasting in the halls of Elysium. The game even said that he died with a tooth-baring smile and fire in his eyes. I’ve had the Fang of Malice on my back ever since.

Great videos, I've learned so much that I can incorporate into my games! I noticed that the chart in this video is slightly different from the chart in your first Pathfinder Religion Guide video. You replaced Chaldira with Grandmother Spider, and you replaced Ulon with Mahathallah. Any particular reasons for those two changes? The Ulon to Mahathallah changes makes sense to me, since Ulon isn't even given a footnote in Gods and Magic, but Chaldira and Grandmother Spider are both given a decent amount of content in that book, so I'm wondering what made you pick one of them over the other and over all the other ones in the book that aren't on the chart (Arazni, Casandalee, Nocticula, etc.).

Yeah, you basically figured this out yourself. I originally drew those up for 1st ediion, but I found myself altering the gods I emphasized for my games as we transitioned to the new books and the game seemed to be emphasizing other gods. Good catch!
