Announced through a Kickstarter campaign in February 2020, the game will be released for PC, Microsoft Windows, and macOS on September 4, 2021. Pathfinder has dozens of classes and subclasses with thousands of abilities, feats, spells, talents, and buffs to choose from. The spell listing allows you to choose from Evocation (Damage Dealing), Enchantment (Crowd Control), Necromancy (Undead), Abjuration (Buffs), Illusion (Crowd Control), Divination (Buffs/Disruptor), and Conjuration (Summoning). This is combined with an insane amount of class/subclass options including Alchemist, Arcanist, Barbarian, Bard, Bloodrager, Cavalier, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Hunter, Inquisitor, Kineticist, Magus, Monk, Oracle, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Sorcerer, Warpriest, Witch, and Wizard! It is Owlcat's goal to give each of these classes at least 5 subclasses each!
Choose your Mythic Path and embody an Angel, Demon, merciless Lich, wily Trickster, superhero Azata, law incarnate Aeon, truly evil Swarm, merciful Gold Dragon, or forgo all of them to stand alone as a Legend. Each path will allow you to improve your hero in unique ways, adding a new layer to character development and making your hero and their allies a true match for their powerful enemies.
You will command the Fifth Crusade and govern the Crusade system. Lead your crusade during tactical combat battles in a turn based mode inspired by the Heroes of Might and Magic series. You will command armies, grant them powerful bonuses, and deploy rituals to succeed. As your generals levels up they will gain access to new buffs, spells, feats, talents, and abilities. Your chosen Mythic Path will also open up new options such as calling angels to your side and using zombies to attack your foes. Your units and how they gain power will also be guided by the decisions you make. From ruthless Hell Knights to benevolent priests you have a wide array of allies who will answer the call for battle.
There are more than a dozen potential party members in the game including Camellia (Half-Elf/Spirit Hunter), Seelah (Human/Paladin), Lann (Mongrel/Zen Archer), Ember (Elf/Stigmatized Witch), Arueshalae (Succubus/Espionage Expert), Woljif (Tiefling/Eldritch Scoundrel), Daeran (Aasimar/Oracle), Sosiel (Human/Cleric), Regil (Gnome/Hellknight), Wenduag (Mongrel/Fighter), Nenio (Kitsune/Scroll Savant), Greybor (Dwarf/Slayer). All of these companions have their own backgrounds, alignments, and motivations. All of them are fully voice acted with unique character models. There are even more followers that are locked behind specific story/mythic quest options!

Disruptive: Say that your fighter is close to an enemy wizard. That wizard will provoke an attack of opportunity (that is, your fighter will poke her) every time she casts a spell. However, that wizard can choose to "cast spells defensively". This is similar to "fighting defensively", except the way it works is that she needs to make a concentration check of (15 + double spell level): if she fails the check, the spell fails. With Disruptive your fighter makes that concentration check harder (by +4), thus increasing the chance that the enemy wizard will fail when casting spells. And 10 feet is a decent range, so this feat is not bad. Samori, great job with this channel, keep it up!

@@SlanderedGaming It's fun to take the Arcane Blood Capstone early, because it makes it impossible for any enemies to pass the check while they are in your range. It doesn't always work, but some of the spells that demons have are counted as SLA's or Spell Like Abilities and don't trigger casting components.

Improved critical increases the threat range by double so the "hits" you make on threat ranges goes i.e 18-20 can critical on 3 so it can go down to 15-20 three more hits down.

Grenadier as an alechemical archer is really good. You get martial weapons for free and the ability to apply alchemical flasks to weapons, this can do serious damage as an archer. You also get better bombs than standard alchemist.

Completely Normal Spell can basically work like a universal free Favorite Metamagic feat. Plus it lets you make a lvl 1 spell into a lvl 0. Magic Missile can now be cast at will.

Heighten Spell works well with an fire blaster build. Especially if you want to blast through a whole dungeon without having to rest. You can put Scorching Ray in every level up to Hellfire Ray and then put Hellfire Ray up the last few levels.

Good guide Sir. I think you may have missed reading the immunity from gaze attacks from blind fight. One more thing I need to comment on is how you gloss over selective channel and extra channel. I absolutely love those skills for my healers and couldn't imagine playing without them. Combined with a phylactery of channeling and especially the new mythic channeling feat, it heals a ludicrous amount of damage. I may add the mythic channeling to Seelah even for when she hits 20. Godly heals for everyone in sight that doesn't suffer from concentration effects or provoke aoo. I am looking forward to boundless healing combined with metamagic reach on Daeran for some crazy reach spells especially with the abundant spells feats as well.

Right now I never use channel energy during a fight but maybe that will change on Core and I'll find those feats more valuable.

@@SlanderedGaming Ah I see, I am starting on Core and am level 8 just short of Drezen. I played on challenging and hard mode in KM. I couldn't do it without channel energy, not at all, certainly not with what my party has. There is just too much damage and running up to single heal someone only to get an AOO or a cleave makes it nearly impossible.

A lot of feats for the fighter and the rogue appear as a bonus feats for other classes. So when you see some thing like greater weapon focus those mixed classes like the crusader cleric can utilize them as bonus feats. This becomes a little bit more important because those mix classes tend not to have full bab So something like greater weapon focus can be very useful Also it was still useful to a veteran. Just because someone like me is an expert at their cleric doesn’t mean I didn’t learn a lot for my later builds.

fast learner is awesome, gives you another maxed out skill in the end, well worth it if you have very few skills or if you want to play a skill monkey. :) I mean one additional skill point per level ends up with 20 skill points. ;)

That's true I just never make skill monkeys my main character so I guess that's why I kind of ranked it lower.

Actually you don’t really need (skill monkeys) them as this game allows a party of 6. Also just keep respec-Ing your character as and when needed to fill in the required primary skills. I’m playing this game for the first time and I have respec both my main character and my Teammates more than 10-20x and I’m just started chapter 3.

Or 40 skill points with a level 40 build. I am thinking about making a skill monkey with a rogue/dark elementalist kineticist combo and maybe a few dips. I like the idea of documenting all of the checks on every map. Respeccing 20x by act 3? That seems more extreme than a skill monkey. Maybe to get through unfair I could see this.

Not on my Main, but I think I'll get a Companion and do Negative Energy Channel Juggernaut. So some Cleric type, devote myself to the Damage Path, and then augment my ability to stand in the middle of the crowd with Potions and Scrolls. Gather the group... then then start the Channels.

One thing to remember on 'Racial Bonus Feats'. If you have a Racial Bonus, then you did not select Human. Human gets a Feat... that's the Racial Bonus (and extra Skill Point per Level). So if you chose a Variant that denies your Racial Bonus, you've Spent the Opportunity Cost of Human Creation Feat AND Non-Human Racial Bonus. Now SOME Racial Feats pair really well with some Classes... Arcane Casting Elves for instance, or Tank Dwarves for instance, or Illusionist Gnomes or Rogue Gnomes. Things like that. So if you took a Variant that denies the Base Racial Bonus, but that Bonus goes REALLY WELL with your Class... it might just be worth that Feat Slot. Because the idea is you are PENALIZED the Racial Bonus to get the REWARD of Variant Bonus... i.e. Risk/Reward. USUALLY you do this because the Racial Bonus sucks, at least for your Character Combination. So the Reward is greater than the Penalty. But some times it is better to eat a cake and have another cake... than staring at one cake wondering to have it or eat it.

43:20 Keep in mind ONLY merged spell books, (Lich and Angel), can pull off the 24 hour Haste spell. Your caster level needs to be at least 25 for that to work, so all the other paths can't do it!

I didn't know that. Why does caster level affect it? Even if you don't have an additional spell level you can take the Mythic Ability to reduce the cost of Extend. Wouldn't that make it available to everyone?

For a extended spell to last for 5 minutes(to qualify for greater enduring spells 24 hr buff) it would have to last at least 25 rounds. 25x2=50. There are 10 rounds per minute(6 seconds each) So, 25x6 seconds=5 minutes. 5 minutes now lasts 24 hours, as per Greater Enduring Spells. Other Mythic path max out at caster level 20. 20x6 seconds= 4 minutes.

​@@Matiargentino100 If you are a level 25 caster you can. But only Lich/Angel can get their caster level that high. You have to extend the 25 rounds to 50 rounds. 50 round=5 minutes.

The main reason vital strike is so powerful is that it’s essentially free to use, minus the fact that it takes up a feat slot of course. What does a normal attack use? A standard action. Vital strike is also a standard action, and you can use it an unlimited number of times. Vital strike just gives you more damage,with no penalties whatsoever. Especially when you factor in mythic vital strike which lets you multiply your static bonuses also. I consistently did over 200 damage every time I used greater vital strike. It’s one of the best feat lines for any melee damage dealer.

I think it works best if you are getting a limited number of attacks per round. For somebody like Seelah who is getting 6 or Regill who is getting 8 it loses effectiveness in comparison to just taking a full round action. I really like it on Camellia even though she cannot get Greater Vital Strike.

I have a question that is not related to feat but I am very confused about Vital strike. So at lvl 3 I picked up 1 lvl of rowdy for camelia for Vital strike for early game damage. The description of vital strike says roll twice of your damage dice, in this case rapier at d6 as additional damage to melee. However she was regularly dealing 30+ per hit at lvl 3 so I looked at the log it says 1d6 for melee 4d6 for vital strike and 2d6 for sneak attack I am like where is the 4d6 coming from? Do you know?

@@SlanderedGaming You can think of the whole feat tree as composition of 3 sets: * worthless/niche/meh * very useful 1/2 feat dip * deep/wide specialization trees Specializations go like this: * spell caster [spell focus, greater SF, spell penetration, greater SP] * crane [dodge, crane style, crane wing, etc.] * power [power attack, cleave, corn-somthing] * bag of cool stuff [outflank, animal companion boon] * trip [regular trip, greater trip]

Focus on strength for most weapons or dex for finesse weapons, for create a race that has a bonus to it, like half orc for strength. Starting with 20 strength is a +5 to hit. Weapon focus for another +1, masterwork weapon for another +1. Keep an eye out for +str items too. Bless, prayer, bardsong helps, witch hex to decrease ac of enemies

@@mirceaionescu960 Ranged attacks you need point blank shot and precise shot for sure. The -4 penalty for shooting combat is really significant. Weapon focus helps as well, and you can weapon focus rays for spells like scorching ray and melfs acid arrow. For spells you want your casting stat to be as high as possible. Int for wizard wis for cleric, cha for sorcerer and so on. Spell focus and greater spell focus for the schools you like. Every spell has its own school so you can see which ones you like the most and make them the strongest

The responses provided great information. I would add that you have scrolls and potions that will help buff your party. Bull's Strength and Bears Endurance for frontline strength fighters. Cats Finesses for dexterity warriors. Shield of Faith and Bless helps as well. If you need more ranged damage throw the alchemist fire bombs. There is nothing you get in the maze that you need to save for a rainy day so go crazy.
