I have been working with my new 440. Had it for two weeks and I am very impressed. I’m not sure if it is purposeful or not but all the instructions on PathPilot Have given me a start but never really a “canned” The tutorial stuff has been a great help and if they did “provide every step” I doubt I would have learned as well. I have been on a steep learning curve having run manual machines for much of my life (not as a dedicated machinist but for work and hobby) After the wood 2x4 example I moved to a simple part we manufacture and made the first in two hours… 5-10 minutes on my manual machine. It was cool, accuracy exceeded my expectations and after several fine tuning steps I have the cycle time down to 4 minutes. This is on the 2nd day of running the Tormach and I have never run a CNC machine of any kind. Thank you! Now I need to become proficient enough to build a fixture! 😊
