This is why a combo of a single coil guitar with a humbucker equipped (in this case a les paul and a modded strat) is so good at creating that wall of sound. Take that to the next level with panning completely different guitar sounds panned left and right makes this kind of progression so much more powerful. Smashing Pumpkins did this a lot too, it really expands the sound and makes it feel huge.

Alright.... SO apparently today was my day..... HUM and Smashing Pumpkins in the same day for reactions. This Album is legendary. then they had a follow up which was good Then split up for almost 20 years in 2020 they reunited and released an awesome album "Inlet" and sadly the Drummer passed as they were preparing to tour.. Freaking awesome

Hell yeah, love Hum. They deserved a lot more attention along with Failure for pioneering this sound.

Love Hum and great video! They need to be given credit where credit it due, really underrated. I have 3 of 5 LP’s they put out. Sad to hear the drummer Bryan St. Pere past a way unexpectedly a few years ago. Matt Talbott does some solo stuff the past few years as well.

Hum!!! Yes. Great choice. Please listen to their newest album, Inlet. First one in over 20 years out of nowhere and may be their best.

I love this song. I have a lot of fond memories of stargazing with this song in the background.

One of the most overlooked band from the 90s ! This album is a classic. Big influence on Deftones' white pony (guitar tone wise).
