This team CAN'T FINISH. we hit 3/4 posts, had a few mostly empty nets and whiffed them over the net. There was no shortage of opportunities. We controlled the pace and had chances. Big difference, the Rangers get a few decent chances, and they capitalize. Reminds me of Tampa, all they needed was a couple chances and a couple powerplays and they would take advantage. This wasn't like the past 4-5 games, where we got dominated in all aspects. This one hurt.

Lalonde can't get the most out of the roster. That's the main issue. Yes some of it is on Yzerman for trading Ghost, Walman and Peron. Tarasenko hasn't worked but Lalonde is an AHL coach. Yzerman hiring him really makes me question his hockey judgement.

It seems they're feeling the weight as the Red Wings fans are. Detroit has tons of talent, but can't finish a game with a win. They can't score worth a farthing and much of the losses are from failed defensive zone breakdowns and inability to clear the puck from the zone. The laissez faire approach to coaching seems to be a bit of an infection right now, for many teams. Players who appeared slow and lethargic for one us last season and then are playing games of their careers for another team. Tarasenko has been a slug. Kane and DeBrincat are out of sync. Larkin, well, Dylan rocks. But one man can't win it all. They're not playing 60 mins. I will say that the dump and chase has been handled so much better. And WTF is it with aiming? Getting EVERYONE off the schneid! It seems every shot is made with the anticipation level of a first game rook, ringing iron wins not. I'm sure Lalonde is taking heat, but things have not changed. Red Wings 68 points by the end of April if nothing changes. Again. Lalonde must go.

YzerPlan is failing. People blaming Lalonde, yeah he is an issue. But the Wings bottom 6 is one of the worst in the NHL. The D-Core is AWFUL. Holl, Petry, Chiarot, Copp, Fischer, Rasmussen, Veleno, Berggren, Motte, Compher, Husso, Tarasenko........hardly an amazing roster in 2024. Yzerman has done a terrible job with this team. Kane is so slow is hurts the team and yes he's put up some points but he's been awful every night. What is going on with Raymond and his lack of shooting?

Yeah you are a casual. Yzerman has done good setting up our actual window with our goalie prospects (Cossa and Augustine which are both looking like great goalie prospects). Larkin/Raymond/Seider contracts. He traded Hronek to get ASP pick who CURRENTLY HAS THE MOST POINTS AS A DEFENSEMAN IN THE SHL AS THE YOUNGEST BY FAR PLAYING WITH OLDER MEN (the same people like you crying now are going to be super happy that Yzerman made moves to get Pellikka for the future, you know the window that matters?). Not all these gap fillers like Holl, Petry, Chiarot, Copp, Fischer, Ras etc all the people that will most likely not be on our roster. Kasper/Danielson/Lombardi/Mazur with other talent in Buchelnikov, Finnie etc. Keep coping with your emotions and blaming Yzerman is a joke you must not have been around when he was playing on the Red Wings or aware of his GM tenure on the Lightning. It isn't his fault people like Tarasenko/Berg/Kasper have been underperforming they are switched lines everyday/put on lines with Copp & other duds. I don't think you know puck that good tbh you should consider tennis. Also our PK/PP is a joke = not Yzerman's fault, again it is the coaching staff.
