Last wildcamp for a while due to covid lockdown. Beautiful location on the hills above Sheffield and a fantastic meal of Roast Beef Yorkshire Puddings and Roast Potatoes all cooked in my homemade oven in the tent. !

Finally managed to publish this video, had great problems and could not get past 0% upload, very frustrating and nearly gave up. Ended up firing up a old laptop and uploaded and published from that. I thought there maybe problems with my seperate audio so deleted it and left the GoPro audio on, a bit rubbishy with wind noise, but at least the video is on. Going to lie down in the pub for the rest of the afternoon to calm down. Thanks Pat

Fantastic video Patrick. You are amazing. I have cooked a meal in my tent (or just outside) but nothing like this. So glad you didn't give up with the upload. Strange things happen with computers and software and it was a brilliant idea to use another laptop which then worked. Can I ask your age ? I'm 62 and still camping but need to do wild camping next year as I am fed up with noisy camp sites !

Pat must must have a cast iron stomach. I camped year round from 1980 to 2018 using a motorcycle & small tent. No way did I ever even attempt cooking a meal that size let alone eating it before trying to settle down for bed. The most I ever cooked was bacon/sausage rolls sometimes with mushrooms. In the end I stuck to breakfast bars & the like. Anything the size of Pat’s meal & I would not have slept. I wholeheartedly agree that once home drying out the tent along with airing out the sleeping bag are absolutely essential. Cleaning/repairs to pots, stoves, clothing etc also came high on my jobs to do list.
