So for those who are wondering why the other insecticons didn't appear in the cartoon it was basically the same situation as jetfire/skyfire they were endangered of getting sued by another company so they didn't feature them in the show because they didn't want to take that risk again

Venom did have 2 media 📺 appearances in the 80's, both were the same story presented 2 different ways. In "Slaves of the Insecticons" he is leading a group of 3 Insecticons 🐝on the island of Buru were they are forcing the humans to mine for oil. He is backed up by Kickback and Bombshell as they use their Insecticons🐝 venom to "zombie" the poor natives. Optimus🚛 and Prowl 🚔go to the island looking for Bumblebee🚕 and trying to understand the mysterious Seeker jet✈ raids in the area preventing visits to the island. Prime gets back up from the Dinobots 🐊who pound Con butt. Megatron🔫 and Soundwave📼 are also there with a massive oil transporter. Their vehicle fails and they escape in a rocket 🚀 pod. (Sky)Jetfire✈ also makes an appearance at the beginning of the story. "Slaves of the Insecticons" was the last book released by Kid Stuff Records for the Transformers, it came with a book 📖 and cassette📼 only there was NO record 💿 version. This story was also released by Kid Stuff on Volume 2 of their "See & Read" video series. It followed the "Jaws of Terror" story, which featured Ratchet🚑 and the Dinobots🐊. All of the characters in the VHS📼 and the Book📕/Tape📼 set were based on their toy models. That means Ratchets🚑 head is behind his windshield and Megatron🔫 has his trigger crotch. Both versions of the story are on KZbin if you want to "See & Read" them. Also all of the previous TF books and the TF "See and Read" VHS 📼 Volume 1 are also on KZbin to watch. Volume 1 features the stories "Satellite📡 of Doom💀" and "When Continents🌎 Collide💥". Both are worth watching and are kid friendly. The cast for all of the books and the 2 VHS tapes use some of the characters from Waves 1 and 2 of G1 toyline or if you prefer the Season 1 Sunbow Cartoon G1 Cast. These books and VHS were also designed to help little ones to learn to read and develop early story skills.

3 things: 1) NEVER EVER get the "flu" shot... EVER! (Glad you're feeling better!) 2) Another excellent review! I'm still trying to get the 4 Deluxes myself, but back in the day, I had SOME kind of a smaller knock-off(?) version of Venom, but not sure where it came from or what it was called, but it was smaller and had the clear orange fragile plastic wings (ONE of which, I still have, but no bot?! Lol). Anyone know anything about that, by chance? Looking for one now, but NO idea where to start... And 3) Someone did some wicked cool customs of these guys, articulating the hell out of them and painting them up in top notch fashion. I recommend looking them up! (Probably just do a search for Insecticons on Google, or in the Heavy scratch/Radicons on WTF2005. Worth it! HOOO-AH, brother!!

Very awesome review. I can't wait to see the rest of the Deluxe Insecticons. Back in the day I used to see them in toy stores all the time, but never got one, after a while I regretted that I didn't. Out of all G1 figures, they are the ones I know the least about, so that is why I am so excited that you are reviewing them.

When translucent orange plastic collides with lime green plastic.. BOOM! Garish instant win for me.. Stunning 'Bug' mode and the robot mode is just as strong.. I love Bandai automorph transforming.. and i didn't know for years that the head did that..Great review. Hooah!!!

If we get "Insecticon" 🐝Venom in the Generations/Siege/Whatever line I hope he is either a deluxe or Voyager scale figure. He always seemed to me to be bigger than the rest of the bugheads and a legends scale won't be the right size for him. Now when we get Barrage and Ransack they can be legends scale with the other 4 we have gotten so far and I see them reusing parts from Bombshell and Kickback respectively. Can't wait to see the rest of your reviews over the next couple of days or weeks. I am guessing the Insecticons will also be getting their own playlist when this is all done? Please also explore any of the other Insecticons that were produced outside of the original 7 also.
