This game was the perfect setup for the SuperBowl. As the Giants were defeated, they would be back in 5 weeks to take the Patriots Down once and for all.

Regardless of what happened later, this still might be the most impressive accomplishment in NFL history. They had a really tough slate of games, too. At the same time, if they lost just 1 game, I guarantee they win it all. The pressure they experienced was real.

I’m SO thankful to the Giants for beating them in the Super Bowl, because as cocky and arrogant as the 1972 Dolphins and their fans have been after finishing the season perfect, the Patriots and their fans would have taken it to another level, and it would have never ended. Why is brady so uptight? I think because he knows that the league ordered the Giants to allow that last touchdown to Moss. 2 plays in a row of busted coverage on a simple go route, one of which was pathetically underthrow? So clearly staged. And the reason why he looked utterly depressed coming out of the tunnel at super bowl 42 is because he knew the Giants we're chosen to win.

I'm with you that in this game they probably let the Patriots win this one by orders of who ? You'll never know but say that the Giants were chosen to win the Superbowl I don't think so that's when the real fight started and Patriots knew it wasn't going to be easy , Patriots were the favorites all the way nobody thought the Giants were going to win !
