Pat I share your taste for cars! To me the NSX and the i8 are very good looking cars and I was not sure which one to pick until I finally decided for the 2021 NSX last month. I ordered a white one and Acura will deliver it on May or June. Enjoy your new vehicle and yes picking it up at night and in a rainy day not the best decision... Cheers!

Dear Pat and Rebecca.I feel so happy for you having this new dream car.I think you have taken the correct decision and I can´t hardly wait the new content of your channel.Unfortunately this car will not be available in Spain, only Germany, France,Italy...and even if you go to Germany and buy one, there are no approved dealers to do the maintenance properly and if for some reason you do it, the warranty will not be valid and cover you anymore.Again, thanks for your videos, congratulations for both and feel proud of your life partner since it is not easy to find a person supporting this level of commitment with hobbies, cars, dancing and of course the edition of youtube videos.I think you a very cool guy and I am happy I found you on youtube.Congrats!!! Yes Pat, you made an excellent decision!!! Build #1816 pictured left. It's a 2018 in Berlina Black. I've driven it as a daily driver through two Saskatchewan, Canada, winters.........bulletproof....as you'd expect from Honda/Acura. I'm talking about -30C cold, snow, slush, ice,......yes.....with Pirelli Sottozero 3 tires fitted. You'll love it. I can't think of another car that can provide the performance, economy, reliability, and aesthetics...period. Cheers. Enjoy!!!

That's awesome! I just subbed to your channel. Glad to see you using the car in the winter! I was going to with the Sottozero tires for winter but ended up testing a set of Bridgestone all seasons. The car ran a 10.88 sec in 28 F temperatures on them. I couldn't believe it. I hope to release that video in the coming weeks. Also, nice Vette!

I was between the NSX and the 911 Turbo and went with the Porsche for its history and performance. The NSX is a beauty and I hope you got the $20,000 discount Acura is giving to increase interest.

I might sell the NSX for a Turbo S at some point in the future. This is a used 2017 NSX so no dealer incentive but I negotiated a deal that I was satisfied with.

I like it a lot Pat. I definitely support getting rid of the tint. First, it's illegal in Maryland, and most states, but secondly because it just takes away from the car's usefulness such as driving at night. I get it in really hot areas like Arizona, but out here it's not necessary. Congratulations! I hope to see you some time at the Dulles Landing Cars and Coffee on Sundays at 7 am!

Hey Pat, Congratulations! Awesome car! Regarding tint, you can get 3M Crystalline tint on the car and it is almost clear so it will pass your inspection AND you’ll get the UV benefits of having tint. Just so you know.

The jackpoints are strong. They extend down about a quarter inch from the body. No matter what kind of jack stand you get, you want to have something on top of it that can be firm enough not to impact the body. But there are no other hard points that you can jack on in order to get a jack stand under them. You'd have to remove some underbody panels so that you could jack on the aluminum frame components. I haven't removed any underbody panels besides the rear diffuser so I'm not exactly surerecommended by Acura to jack on any of that

Watched another of your videos on the street ramps that you placed in your driveway to help from scraping the low front end of you cars. Did that help with the NSX and do you have any problems with street humps/bumps while driving the NSX?

Glad to hear he remembers me well. I love the ramps because there are times I'm not angling my cars right and I'll scrape a little bit. The NSX is high enough not to hit anything in the front but don't go over a speed bump so fast that the car bounces. You'll hit the rear diffuser on the speed bump after you go over it. Already happened to me

Thanks for the kind words, Sir Peter! Yes the i8 has a higher overall height than the NSX and you can tell when you go to sit in it. OMG, it's low! But the gap between the tires and the fenders is bigger in the NSX. Looks weird! And thanks for noting the sub count. Not sure where things will go as most of my subs are here for i8 content and might move on. It's expected. But, I had to buy the car for me and not the channel. More to come!

Depends on how long you want to keep it. The hood is going to get a lot of rock chips. Either respray or PPF. Oh and you don't need undercoating. Not on an aluminum car!
