Cut, sew, cut, sew has been my way of creating my quilts. Yeah! Glad I am not the only one. Down side is occasionally I will find I am short of fabric but not often. Up side is as you said, if I run out of steam or just dislike the pattern, color choices etc. I can drop out or make the quilt smaller. In the end....it is what works best for you, and you and you and you.

I also cut and sew as I go on a project. I find that it keeps me motivated, and helps me make fewer cutting mistakes. But your tip made me realize another benefit. It is less commitment, so if I decide not to finish the project, I can put uncut fabrics back in my stash instead of a UFO pile or scrap bag.

Love all of your ideas for the half square triangles on Mi Casa. Also, your door being different fabric than the windows on the haunted house is great, too. I'll have to see if I can do mine similar, or they'll have to be the same. Using the kit for the project. You are making me feel better about my collection of "wish" list projects. I have an idea/request especially for us who work really long hours and can’t catch up. Lol. I might have more UFO’s than you. I know that I have one that I started on the beach in Florida about five years ago. I managed to do two blocks maybe last year. Would you put in a UFO day maybe twice a month. I am sure everyone could use a day to sew on unfinished projects, and the smarties who are blessed and don’t have any, that would give them a day to plan or start their next project, or they can go buy more fabrics from their local quilt shop. 😂❤
