I think one of the problems with creativity is that youtube algorithem INTENTIONALLY tries to hide creativeness while pushing for more of the same stuff or them trying to encourage the bad type of reactions (like XQc and Sniperwolf), kinda disappointing and sad in my opinion
@Grumpisaurus
@Grumpisaurus 7 ай бұрын
Probably because KZbin sees it's viewers as idiots lol. The algorithm pushes content that people can mindlessly watch/scroll through, like xqc and sniperwolf. "I'm reacting to a reaction of a reaction! You'll never imagine what happens next!" Crap like that

I can give you a good reason why KZbin short gets more fame the reason is that there are people who are watching the shorts are people who have less time to watch a video feel free to correct me but I think that this is the reason

The only channels that I regularly watch are Korean Englishman, SortedFood, ChilledChaos/ChilledChaosGame and periodically watch Smosh's channels. Korean Englishman's main focus is introducing Korean food and culture to friends and/or guests and is all around entertaining. I've appreciated SortedFood because they make entertaining content focused on food, which as a foodie, is a very positive thing. Plus, they provide tips to cook smarter in the kitchen. Chilled uploads hour long videos of him and his friends playing many games such as social deception games: Project Winter, First Class Trouble, Town of Salem/Town of Salem 2, and Among Us + Town of Salem mod as well as Worms WMD, Mario Party, and Mario Kart to name a few. The banter and genuine friendship between them is what I enjoy the most. With Smosh, I enjoy 3 series: Shayne reading Reddit stories to whomever happens to be sitting as the episode's guest, Smosh Mouth (Amanda and Shayne Podcast), and Flashback with Smosh (as Anthony has returned, it's been great to reminisce older Smosh content). Plus, we're a week away from the return of one of the oldest series on this platform: Food Battle 2023.

What Patterz fails to realize is that he and his audience are not the majority of KZbin viewers. They exist in a bubble. His scrolling on the home screen doesn't mean anything. That's not the real KZbin Home Screen. That's YOUR KZbin home screen, Pat. A home screen that is curated to suit YOUR interests. Try to log out of your account and go back to the home screen. It would look significantly different because THAT is what the average viewer sees.

21:38 You're so right. The videos that have the greatest impact on me recently are the various Yugioh-based series from creators like Cimo, MBT, RJB0, and Dzeeff. Those videos are all 40-90 minutes long and are slow as molasses. But there's just something intriguing about them that keeps me coming back.

You may not like this, but MandJTV posted a nearly 2 hour play through of the fire red team rocket edition and I absolutely loved it. I literally watched it 3 times the day it came out and about 7 times since in favour of other videos I may have watched otherwise. For short form content, devour power, man and his wife review foods from everywhere but mainly new York. They have hundreds of shorts and the day I found the channel several months ago and I decided "damn I like these people", I went and binge watched every short and actively go back to the channel to look for new shorts they have uploaded. I miss pokémon playthroughs though, I have to say. The era of like 20 to 40 episode series of 1 game was one of the best times on KZbin, people rarely do that much anymore, more often than not if they're doing some kind of playthrough it's a highly edited single video Also most of my time on KZbin is watching captain sparklez even though I'm not a Minecraft fan. I just like him as a creator

Worrying about monetary value vs content value. Having to consider the algorithm. Quantity over Quality. Personas instead of Real People. Obsessing over Analytics. No actual direction or goal other than More Subs. Fear of repeating or doing what was done early in the channels life. Forgetting who/what made the channel successful initially. Overlooking and ignoring fans/subscribers. Putting a wall between fans and creator. Saturation from other channels. Not taking risks. - All leads to stale/stagnant channels and content. Also all necessary in moderation. Successful channels aren’t easy to maintain, but doing what you love and being real is. “Why are my favorite channels my favorite?”

There's only three TikTok creators I have any interest in (B. Dyllan Hollis, CaFae Latte, and Hell's Belles) and I subscribed to one of them on KZbin, but because KZbin moved the Shorts to its own section (where they can't be added to "Watch Later") I haven't been able to watch any of B. Dylan Hollis's videos without directly going to his channel. I did buy his cookbook for my partner and I, though.

@@RedK5 I think you may have misinterpreted what I meant, though I may also have been unclear. With Shorts being a separate list, rather than grouped with all the other thumbnails in the Subscriptions page like they used to be, I don't even get to see Dylan's videos because all the other Shorts from channels I follow (and whose Shorts I don't watch, since they tend to be clips from the full length videos I already watch) are put in front of them.

@@RedK5I did find a way around it, which was to open the video in a new tab, which would result in an interaction screen like any other video, including the "Add To" selection underneath it. It's annoying, when it used to be "click on the clock in the thumbnail" like it still is for every other video, but it can be done.

The KZbin videos i watch are one piece/anime reactions/reviews or theory videos. Pokemon longer form vids cuz the players have their personalities. I know most of their scheduled videos or will check if anything is off. Shorts are cool but meh. I've probably started yt watching Fortnite but certain creators who also did cod2 zombies I still watch them Smithy who does pokemon now, Braggo, and some others. Then for one piece I was watching Tekking 101 forever.... That led to the whole one piece community which was amazing. In pokemon on twitch i followed a few different poketuber. I gave up on shorts because its so shallow.

Um...that feeling you described when walking home & opening TikTok is call *hyperfocus*. Its one of the major symptoms of ADHD & though some neurotypicals can do it, its also a skill some neurotypicals actually build. That difficulty to tear yourself away from it Is why a lot of people with ADHD start on stimulants & other ADHD meds. For some with ADHD, we find that stimulants help to target what to hyperfocus on & its easier to break out of it to switch tasks. Hyper focus has both good and bad that come with it. The good: you shut out the world around you. 🤓 The bad: you shut shut out the world around you. 😐 Went to vegas, huh? Well now we know why you can afford the $21k first class pod! 😉 Hope you were able to find someone to watch Leo at home. For fans that weren't here last time you came to America, if I remember correctly, Leo got sick or was recovering & they messed up meds, had taken Leo to the vet where he got vaccinated again when he didn't need it & the kennel should have had Leo's vaccine records, as a copy is typically required before a reservation can be confirmed or at drop off. Mostly, they just require the rabies vaccine (& kennel cough for dogs), but if you bring a vaccine record from your vet, they are all on the sheet. Good taste in reddit videos. The channels I watch (Rslash, Mark Narrations, Markee, Vincey, Redditor) have soothing backgrounds, not subway/Minecraft surfers that make you stare at it. I prefer when backgrounds are soothing so I can either read along without getting distracted, do my sensory diet stuff, or coloring. TikTok just throwing traumatic & violent videos at people is horrific. It would be a good "X" topic to bring up to see if this is happening to others & if its a big issue, maybe they will do some adjustments to the algorithm to keep violent videos from being shown in th feed. TikTok can already be really bad for mental health, like every social media site! I LOVE the animated series Mew & Mewtwo! I think excess videos have become much less popular in Western capitalist countries currently since there has been more identification of the wealthy individuals who are showing off their excess as the people who pay politicians to keep our economy in chaos. At least with YT users in the US, we've found that excess becomes cringe when we keep hearing about weekly mass shootings, politicians trying to take away our rights & trying to convince us its better for us to be oppressed, the homelessness crisis is getting as out of control as the laws banning their existence, & most millennial/Gen Z have accepted home ownership isn't happening in our lifetime. Poverty porn sounds as gross as inspiration porn! So gross! I had never heard the saying about Americans being temporarily embarrassed millionaires. I think that kind of hope ended with the last born boomer. I've always thought it wasn't healthy for kids to be watching Mr.Beast or any of the prank channels, so I'm really glad there are videos breaking down why these channels are bad for mental health. 🤕
