I will always remember when I had the honor to walk miss Patti LaBelle down these stairs safely to the stage. Because miss Beautiful Patti LaBelle was wearing a long gown and High heals. I was so happy and excited to escort Her. She is absolutely beautiful and one of the greatest singers who music will forever be timeless. She remains one of my favorite singers forever. Greatest experience in my life to be able to talk to her and hold her arm downstairs to the stage.

I remember watching this when it 1st aired. We're In 2020 now.....and I STILL haven't seen/heard a singer match Patti's vocals in these TV tributes. Fantasia matched her stage energy in a tribute a few years ago, but again, NO ONE has matched Patti's vocal range AND stage classy electricity. I guess it's Fair to say....There will NEVER be another PATTI LABELLE! #LEGENDARY.

kelly wilmer and in 2017 but has understandably slowed down..her Bel Hommage cd,her new jazz cd, is awesome.I'm not nor have never been a huge jazz fan. I mean i love me some Phobe Snow,Billie Holiday,Sarah Vaughan,etc but i'm not a HUGE fan but can chill every now and then with a glass of good wine.Patti's new cd is great and at 73yo,she still got it but i know she is slowing down nown as she should.She has paid her dues plus some.I have had blessed to have seen over a dozen concerts and gotten to meet her all but 3 of those shows.Girlfriend remembered my face and ALWAYS called me out if she saw me in the audience. I love you Patti to the moon and back.
