My 10 year old daughter logically listens to the contemporary talents that she likes such as Taylor, Olivia, Ed, Dua, Ariana, etc. But I am so glad she has the open mind to enjoy the ones from my time. So much so that she performed People Have the Power this past weekend at the Church : Untitled in downtown Vancouver, Canada. My daughter had auditioned for the event playing her drum arrangement of the song. She was selected, but for technical reasons she ended up playing a piano arrangement that she created nine days before the performance. Thank you Patti for such a timeless song and for inspiring my daughter.

She is a brilliant songwriter and singer, her songs always have meaning and substance and in many ways she is the represents the embodiment of an absolute activist who stands for peoples freedom and equality in all it's aspects.
