I think its more of that after midnight is scripted which if true is a shame this isn't the first time I've seen eye lines going down to read HOWEVER my alt theory is that after midnight emails the cast all the questions prior so that they can come up with something clever in the moment which eeehhh...thats ok I suppose but its not "Whos line is it anyways" level of improv.

A lot of the show is scripted, but i’m sure the contestants come up with their own stuff. Maybe the non-comic contestants work with writers to come up with stuff that sounds like them. The show seems to still contain a lot of improv. You can tell when people are legitimately corpsing or doing an unscripted bit sometimes.

I want a TV series (or MOVIE) where Taylor and Patton are characters in a role playing game. Kinda like Jumanji. They start in present day by going to a mutual friend's house, and Patton's played this particular RPG before but not with this GM and Taylor has never ever played. She's only there cuz another mutual friend (Joe Manganiello) invited her but is mysteriously missing. So the GM (Terry Crews) starts the game, and then Patton and Taylor are magically whisked away into this alternate reality where they become their characters in the RPG world. Their GM says "the only way out is thru," but he doesn't want them to escape because he's an evil magic dude from centuries ago and this is how he steals people's souls for nefarious purposes. Patton and Taylor have to work together to face the mazes and monsters and beat the GM at his own game!

Oh i forgot to mention that Taylor Tomlinson is sorta kinda dating Joe Manganiello's character and he's the mutual friend. Oswalt knows Joe well. They're old friends, and he invited both Taylor and Patton to his place but didn't know Terry's nefarious ways until it was too late. When Taylor and Patton get there Terry says Joe stepped away and he'll be along. Turns out Terry already sent Joe into this mystical realm, and once there, he can't get out without help. Terry sends them into the mystical realm by starting the game with a roll of his magic dice, and Taylor and Patton seek out Joe, eventually find him, and the three manage to escape by the end of the film in spite of Terry's attempts to keep them trapped in his mystical realm forever. There's others in there too he's tricked into the realm and they've become inhabitants also unable to escape. We'd have to hammer out the kinks but I think this idea has a lot of potential.
