Patty Schneider forehand strokes are so darn hard to read. Many times I thought she was going to hit it straight but went cross court. And my god that multiple high balls she hit throughout the match is crazy. She uses crazy amount of spin and power players don't really like to play against heavy spin players especially on clay courts. Which I guess explaines why she lose to Patty 3x in a row on clay.

Such a rare HL/ match! Haven’t seen it in almost a decade. As a Serena fan, this one was rather forgettable as she was in dire form and physical condition during the spring of 2009. Still, you gotta appreciate Schnyder. She was a crafty player and one of the toughest match-ups for Serena on clay. They played three times, with Schnyder leading 3-0.

Well, Serena has beaten her on other surfaces, so that head to head is exclusive to clay.

@@bryanmartin5901 you are so right! She had just made the finals of Miami before starting her dismal clay court season and she found some form making it to the FO Quarterfinals in a winnable match against Kutznetsova

@@bryanmartin5901Schnyder could hang with Serena on any surface. She was on her way to double bageling Serena in Zurich 2007 before Serena chickened out and retired at 6-0 3-0. Serena only won 8 points in 9 games 🤣🤣🤣

Patrick gets lot of bashing but be added atp level topspin forehand to serena' game after 2010. Thats why she dominated clay aferwards

@@SmithyPL Aged 37 while Konta was at her peak. Graf lost 6-0 6-1 to Coatzer when she was 27 and Navratilova lost multiple matches 6-0 6-0. Everyone has a bad day.
