I remember before Season of Opulence when I was physically unable to use snipers. But when I wanted to get all the Crucible Pinnacles I improved with sniping by using Beloved, and even got the absolute God-Role on my Beloved. Hammer Forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds, Snapshot, Quickdraw, with a Range masterwork. I nutted when I realized I had gotten one of my first definitive God Rolls. I was pretty much heartbroken to find that it would be practically useless in Competitive Crucible for Beyond Light. Never going to dismantle it even if there will be a better sniper. Okay so enough gushing about my Beloved. Keep up the good work Pattycakes! Your videos are really helpful and I hope everything is going well for you during these weird times.

I’d defo say moving target is good to help people who are trying to get used to sniping on pc. If you don’t wanna try and get easy snipes just use enhanced sniper rifle targeting. The amount of people I’ve seen use that and have god like aim take it off and they can’t hit a truck staying still so getting that mod imo is defo a big help

As someone who has an average reaction time of ~300ms, this is some of the most insane gameplay I’ve ever seen. Just the way you can slide through a lane and immediately outsnipe someone is something I feel like I can never succeed at. You should totally make a video on countering snipes like these tho since I feel like the only way is to just have faster reflexes.

I've found that borealis, despite having no ads or handling perks is quite a great sniper, as it has nearly the same if not better than beloved (within 5 deviation with AA) and is a aggressive frame. So if you are able to get over the ads speed it is a great sniper. Another tip, if you have a sniper that doesn't have snapshot try ads'ing when going into a lane if you know it's a popular lane and can get the first shot. I have often won survival matches by doing this, by sliding it seems to reduce ads speed and makes it feel better along with the other perks of sliding into a gunfight

@@griqs Its pc only for now (also requires a controller with a gyro sensor.). you use steams built in feature to customize your controls. Have your controller emulate mouse and keyboard, placing all your key bindings on the equivalent buttons you want. And make sure to have the gyro output mouse movement. It's a hassle to setup, and it can't have menu control parity between a regular controller setup; but it was well worth it for me.

only reason i wanted to get better at sniping was so I could finally get revoker, your guides helped me a ton when I couldn't hit someone even if they were standing still. i have over 300 pvp kills on my bite of the fox which is the most I've ever had on a pvp weapon. i still miss a lot or hit bodies a fair amount of the time but I'm working to get better, love your guides man, thx.

Hey Patty! As a controller sniper main (Top 8% world-wide Cross plat. According to light.gg) I'd say the facts n info on the vid r spot on n tbh, I had to learn all this myself which overall has taken me about 2yrs total and I think that if I had this vid back then, I could have easily shortened my time spent figuring out everything n just cutting straight to practice n training by at least half... I hope all the new snipers out there are able to get their hands on this vid n learn from it! 😊

I’ve been sniping quite a bit lately, and I’m not the best pvp player, I’m really only doing comp for catalysts and titles, but over the past few days my sniping has been insane, but it’s not always consistent. Some games I just can’t land a shot, others I can’t seem to miss. Using a high impact with sunshot is actually really nice tho, I don’t know the numbers, but it can kill some guardians with a body shot from the sniper and a body from sunshot at any range, it feels so good when it happens

I dont kmow how many people will see this but the controller that i use has the extra button on the bottom and you can custimize them to any button. I got it off of amazon for 30 bucks which is way cheaper than everything. Theyre not built perfectly and will slowly break over a year but the feel so nice in the hand and work great. The contoller name is powera. They come in different colors but the black and white ones worl just fine. They are also wired and come with a huge wire so you dont have to worry about batteries

I'm quite the same but my mouse is 4000 dpi and i use 13 in game. With this sensitivity I've found that I have an "effective range" for my sniping. Since I use handcannon all the time, as long as the enemy size is roughly the same in the sniper when ads, compared to that of handcannon ads, I can snap to targets quite easily. If they're too small, I would need more zoom to be able to snipe effectively. If they're too big, then they're roughly in handcannon range.

I've personally used the corsair M65 range for many years now and have found it to be the best mouse for me. as for keyboard. i recently upgraded to the K100 by corsair but my preference would be the K55 by corsair. that could change over time though

Attention controller players. As somebody who uses aftermarket controllers and controller extenders and have been playing fps games for years here are some tips or suggestions: Astro controllers are a lot better than scuf controllers in terms of durability, but are more expensive. I find stick drift and button breakages happen more frequently with scuf controllers and I had to send mine back for repairs 3 times within a year of me buying it. If you play a lot of FPS games and like high senses, don’t buy controller extenders for this game. The premise behind controller extenders is u can use a higher sensitivity without feeling like your having a fit on screen. In destiny 2 we only have 10 send options and imo, I feel like my sens is very low when I’m on max 10 sens and using extenders, I feel like I have to drag my joysticks more than in other games. My 2 pvp issues: lag and visual identification. Most of the time i cannot even see the enemy till after I die, and radar does not help much. Enemies somehow blend into the background and i can only id them after i die and they get a red outline. There is also too much bloom/brightness that is blinding in some maps. I tried changing all settings and brightness/gamma and even got a new monitor, to no avail. Plus there is tangible delay due to lag from p2p connection, which makes shooting anything really hard.

I've always used 1500 dpi for hipfire and movement at 7 or 8 sensitivity. I do use 500 dpi for my sniper button when using ads on most weapons. Is this weird because I've always felt really good using these settings.

It's very hard to test these accurately but I believe enh sniper targeting is the best currently for +aim assist. Who knows for sure... only Bungie :)

the sensitivity just feels so off with the deadzones on console. Also, the aim acceleration is so bad too. Any fix?

I can snipe like a god in csgo or rainbow but hit reg just feels off in d2. Idk why, even after 1300+ hours sniper hit reg still feels bad.
