When he ran into that glass and fell down, I laughed so hard I cried and peed my pants and laughed and laughed until the movie was over. I love it when people fall down. It's comedy gold.

I was dragged into this movie for my grandmas birthday, and everybody was laughing in the theater and I was sitting silent the whole time and if I wasn't with my family I would have walked out. This movie was awful. Just awful.

dorsk188 Getting a 0% on rotten tomatoes doesn't mean the movie scored a 0 out of 5 stars on every review. It means that it didn't get a 60% or higher on any of the reviews; which is good because the movie is a piece of trash on the order of Master of Disguise.

Saw this movie yesterday. Loved the movie. I thought the first movie was just bleh, but I actually adored this movie. It makes fun of itself so much in a way that seems to go over everyones head. The point of the movie is that they KNOW the movie is ridiculous and dumb, and they put so much emphasis on it. For instance, the reviewers think the bird scene was unfunny because he deserved it for bugging that bird in the first place. However, that was why it was so funny. He was doing something he shouldnt have, and paid the price. The price being that a bird much smaller than him savagely attacked him, while a man 10 ft away smiled at him and played piano. This movie isnt supposed to be intelligent with its humor, nor do the producers think they made anything revolutionary. It is simply a simple comedy using unexpected turns and ludicrous situations to invoke some funny moments.

I was 14 and I thought it was a crap movie then. 6 years later and I couldn't believe my eyes when I started seeing trailers for a sequel. I don't even need to watch this review to know that this film is a steaming pile of shit.

What a lot of critics don't seem to get is that Happy Madison movies and the like are comfort food. It's like going to your favorite chain restaurant and having your favorite dish. It's not fine dining or an exciting new restaurant but it's familiar and that's the point. There's a certain siliness to hm movies that elicit a chuckle at times. Now I'm not saying that all hm movies are good or even average, this one is certainly subpar. But I'd rather watch this movie than a lot of the crapshoot out there. True, many if not most of the jokes fell flat but at least Kevin James fully commits to his roles, even with a weak script.

I don't get the bad reviews for the movie. It's not promising to be sophisticated or anything of the sort. It goes for the cartoon humor and succeeds pretty damn well, had everyone in the theatre laughing and there was even clapping at the end.

Okay, I had to have somewhere to vent. I am not one to verbally destroy a movie simply because it's a sequel. If one of my favorite movies has a sequel, I love it, even if the sequel isn't quite as good as the first. Mall Cop 1 is actually one of my favorite comedies. I loved the whole "underdog saving the day, and getting the girl" plot. Mall Cop 2 tramples on everything that the first film accomplished, within the first three minutes of the film. The beginning is so awkward, and horrible, that I have a hard time enjoying the rest of the film. It's like the writers just didn't care anything about this character anymore, and I was all for a Mall Cop sequel, but they absolutely ruined it.

If I were to do movie reviews, this would be my review. I liked the movie, but where I'd like to make my point is comparing this to the first movie-- which was in theaters 6 years ago, and I can't say whether I think this is better than the first or not. Story wise, it's kinda messed up from the start, then gets better as the movie goes on. I mean, I'm probably the only one who didn't find the 6 day marriage thing and the death of Paul's mom too funny. I don't even know why Amy got a divorce from Paul after 6 days. Does it make any sense? No. Is it relevant to the plot? It's sorta relevant to the sub-plot, but I still think the main plot would've been okay w/o this. Is it even remotely funny? I guess for people who are into sicker humor, it would be, but seeing as how Paul's the main character, and the first movie seemed to have a fairy tale ending for him, the 6 day marriage thing is kind of a slap in the face for anybody who was happy about the ending of the first movie. I can see that the marriage ended in a divorce, but I think it would've been better if it ended A) after 6 years, not 6 days, or B) The movie killed off Amy. Either way, I think the purpose of this probably has to do with Jayma Mays having some reason to not be in the second movie. I don't think they would've written her off as divorcing Paul if she wanted to do the second movie, or if Happy Madison wanted her to be a part of the second movie. (IDK who to blame for the divorce joke.) The death of Paul's mom made a little more sense, but I think them trying to make a joke out of it was kind of sick. I mean, that's not necessarily an unrealistic thing. People have gotten hit by cars/trucks on a regular basis, and they die from it a lot of times. Those are probably my biggest issues with the movie, though. As far as the rest of the movie goes, I liked it. The villain was a better villain, the action was better, and thank you Happy Madison for making the hypoglycemia joke less disgusting. It had a good share of jokes in it, too, that makes everybody laugh. But I think the movie is at its best whenever Paul and Maya get to Vegas, not when they're in New Jersey.

Rotten Tomatoes is a good gauge on how good a movie is. It could have a 90% score, but I might not want to see it because I'm not into the subject matter... that still doesn't take away from the movie itself. Anywhere near 50% is a gamble. But 0%? Wow. That means it's fucking terrible. Even mainstream "bad movies" have a score... any score. But 0%? And why am I not surprised it came from Sandler's studio?

Necromaster2077 My biggest issue with the movie was the beginning. When Paul talks about his marriage to Amy lasting only 6 days, then his mom dying from getting hit by a milk truck. I mean, that's humor you'd expect in something made by somebody more sadistic like Daniel Tosh, which doesn't appeal to me. Happy Madison has been hit/miss with their movies in recent memory, and this one is better than atrocities like Click or That's My Boy, but it certainly isn't no Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore.
