@@philipholmes5884 I've seen some of that footage, Philip. You lock in well with Steve. He's got to be about the tightest rhythm player ever, with awesome tone. Been trying to figure out the secret(s) of his sound for a long time.. What was it like to play with him? It must have been like a.rhythm guitar clinic.

Doesn't seem likely. Steve holds grudges to John, probably well based, and man, they are all at their 65's and these two have serious health problems. I don't think they wish to stand each other for one more time, even for Rolling Stones money.

johnnyplatis yah you are right I can't see it ever happening again. Just gutted I didn't catch them on their last tour. Still you see all these old bands coming back time again but Lydon is a pain albeit a fantastic lyricist and icon. Did you see the interview between Lydon and Steve on Johnseys jukebox? It's from 2006 but I was really surprised how normal John came across just chatting to his pal. Check it out . But yeah I love the bloke but I wouldn't feel comfortable in his precence lol

@@thelizardking9382 i have heard the interview, long ago. JR is a very complex personality, he can be a serious pain as you say, sharp as a knife and mellow as a kitten, all these in a split second. I sure love the guy, but I doubt if i could stand him. Anyhow, now he deserves our sympathies, his missus is in dire straits and he is struggling to cope.

I always thought he was a brilliant, powerful drummer! He would bounce on his chair and was fun to watch when he was drumming. So energetic and fun! He didn’t get the credit the other Pistols got for their success! It was all Sid And Johnny. OK Sid had the image which helped make them famous but then he ODed and the band was over. But I liked the reunion better with Glen Matlock finally taking his rightful place live!

Just read Lonely Boy, Steve Jones book. Check out Steve’s band “Fantasy 7” they did a gig in Argentina on TV and the footage is unreal. Also reading John Lydon book Anger Is An Energy at the moment. He recommends some great music, check out Edgar Broughton Band, track called “Out Demons Out”. Some great music make by Sex Pistols after the split, and some great recommendations in their books.

Steve, Paul and Glen have all aged with grace and dignity, unfortunately Lydon has became a bit of a caricature of himself especially over the last ten years or so, still an icon but he has to try and let things go.
