Rabbi Tovia Singer demonstrates that Paul was never a Pharisee, and illustrates that his notable expositions of the Hebrew Bible are deeply problematic.

Salaam...I'm a Shi'ite Muslim and I find Rabbi Singer's videos refreshing, educational and entertaining. Regarding Christianity...let's face it...you don't have to be a scholar of religion to recognize that 50% of it was co-opted and compromised by Greek and Roman paganism.

As a Muslin you must see how much of Islam is co-opted or taken from Judaism. Islam, like Christianity + Judaism are man made or cooked up to control their respective societies, give some meaning to their lives and try and explain the world that they/we live in. Not all bad, but far from all good.
@kphilli5

While Christianity is co-opted, misread parts of the OT and was influenced by Hellenistic myths + philosophy Islam most certainly borrowed and was influenced by Judaism and likely local ideas of arabia. To quote Christopher Hitchens when referring to Islam "Islam makes extraordinary claims for it's self, which require extraordinary evidence" the same holds true for Judaism + Christianity.

Reality? Sure the Rabbi was able to continue to build a case for the falsity of the NT but let's look away from his "what about isms". Believing the OT/torah is literally true rather than man made up origin stories and foundation myths is laughable if not totally bonkers.

@David Tucker Paul figured out how to "sell" Jesus to the gentiles as idol worship. And he was very successful. Paul invented a Christianity that had little to do with the teachings of Jesus. @Thrawnmulus Peace be upon you. Jesus Christ said and foretold COMMANDED by THE FATHER: BY THE FRUITS YE SHALL KNOW THEM. Radical Monotheism exactly like the Jewish Prophets / Jews to believe in a uniquely ONE GOD - without any partners or equals or like a three in one coffee the abomination of the Trinity - plus believing in the Messiah Jesus the Prophet sent by God, and the essential consistency with his doctrine - the Muslim. The very words that the Father - THE ONLY TRUE GOD - COMMANDED Jesus Christ to say. The doctrine of THE ONLY TRUE GOD that HE COMMANDED Jesus Christ to give. The testimony of Jesus Christ on the Father: - The Only True God (John 17:3) - The Only One Who Knows The Hour (Mark 13:32) - Greater than I (John 14:28) - Greater than all (John 10:29) - My God and Your God (John 20:17) The doctrine of Jesus Christ = The doctrine of a Muslim. (Of course the term Father in the Jewish context. A figure of speech for their times. NOT that God has a literal Son. God has got Son by the Ton in the Bible.) Defenders of the true honor and status of Jesus Christ VERSUS Christianity more like the Greek and Roman doctrines and the pagan doctrines like "God" coming down in human form and human / blood sacrifice that pagans had going hand in hand with Paul's doctrines of easy fake salvation with blood of an innocent, making the Merciful God in to a blood thirsty vampire. The same people making Jesus Christ UNRIGHTEOUS by their position (believing in the fiction called Crucifixion) and making the Father a treacherous back-stabber by their position and doctrine. Christianity actually the followers of Paul. 2000 years ago, the Roman and Greek Empire with its culture and mythological and pagan roots already held the beliefs such as "God coming down in human form". So after witnessing just a single "miracle" from Paul the deceiver they were conforming to their already held beliefs. No wonder when they heard of this guy Jesus with all the stories of his miracles, it was very easy for them to take him as "Son of God" (and this concept later on developed in to taking him as God) as this already went hand in hand with their pagan and mythological belief system. Little wonder that those times and those places and people also had "Triads" and ancient "Trinities" and "God" in threes and stuff. Acts 14:11 When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, "THE GODS HAVE COME DOWN to us IN HUMAN FORM!" *********** Then of course the abomination of the alleged human "sacrifice" of Jesus Christ making the Most Merciful in to some human blood thirsty vampire. Going against the very teachings of the true Prophets and that includes Jesus Christ. ******** Unfortunately, it was the Pauline Christianity and Pauline doctrines, blended with pagan doctrine and backed up by the powerful Roman Empire that eventually won out over the years and wiped out the Jewish Christianity of radical monotheism.

@Thrawnmulus And if you really wanna know why the previous scriptures back up the Muslim position. And just to make you ponder with sincerity and to show you as to why the previous scriptures that the previous scriptures back up the Muslim. The Jews and the Christians reject what the Prophet of THE ONLY TRUE GOD - Prophet of Deuteronomy 18 V 18-19 Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) brought and you see what happens. The very scripture that they profess to uphold refutes their position. An inbuilt system for course correction or destruction depending upon what someone chooses. Even if you do not believe this, it will be proven time and again as it has been proven right here on this thread and it will continue. The very scripture will destroy the position and of both of them. THE ONLY TRUE GOD has left it in such a state to back up HIS true believers - the Muslim. ******** On Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) Deuteronomy 18 V 18 “I (God) will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee (Moses), and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.” Deuteronomy 18 V 19 we read: “And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require [it] of him.” (I will require [it] of him - in some translations: “I will be the REVENGER” / “I will take VENGEANCE” / "I will hold him accountable" ************ Remember: THE REVENGER . THE ONLY TRUE GOD - The Father, has testified that he will be the REVENGER against those who reject the Prophet of Deuteronomy 18 V 18-19. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ********* THE ONLY TRUE GOD has left the previous scriptures in such a state to destroy the falsehoods and abominations of the people who reject this Prophet of Deuteronomy 18 V 18-19. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). And the sample I showed was in regards to the Christians. I'll be glad to do the same if you really wanna try and make your case from the Jewish position.

@Thrawnmulus And if you happen to be well versed in the Christian position based on scriptures (may be you were a Christian formerly), you are welcome to just try and make a case for Christianity just for the sake of canceling out the Muslim position. The scriptures expose and destroy each and every fundamental doctrine of Christianity. Yes. Each and every fundamental doctrine. And ammmmmazingly the scriptures still guard the Brotherhood of Prophethood and elevate the status of the Prophets - Moses and Jesus and Muhammed (peace be upon them all). The previous scriptures expose those who happen to profess to honor their beloved personalities - Jews in the case of Moses and Christians in the case of Jesus Christ. It's an inbuilt system for course correction or destruction depending upon what someone chooses. It's a sign for those who reflect with sincerity.

The “rituals” were symbolic for what should be done IN THE HEART! CIRCUMCISION OF THE HEART! The ordinances of the law were shadows of Christ and spiritual in nature. But some are stuck in the rituals instead of thinking what it’s telling us spiritually. Daniel ~500+ BC, Daniel 9:24-27 is 70 weeks each day for a year. Prophecy is 1 day = 1 year in prophetic language as stated in the scriptures 👉 Numbers 14:34 “In accordance with the number of days that you spied out the land, 👉forty days👈, for every day you shall suffer the punishment for your guilt a year, that is, 👉forty years👈, and you will know My opposition.” Numbers written ~1400 years BC 70 weeks = 7 days X 70 weeks = 490 days. Ezekiel 4:6 “...I have appointed thee each day for a year.” Therefore 490 days = 490 years. Starting point: Daniel 9:25 “…from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem
…” 👇 The decree/commandment to start rebuilding the city is king Artaxerxes I in his 7th year or 458/457BC historically confirmed (look it up) and in Ezra 7:7,13,21. Ezra 9:9 “…to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.” Ending point: Daniel 9:25 cont “…Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks”👇 (7+62=69 weeks) Until messiah which is 27AD (confirmed in Luke 3:1) 15th year of Tiberius Caesar (12AD "co-Princeps" took place in the year 12 AD, after Tiberius' return from Germania.) (according to secular history),. This is the baptism of Christ (Anointed by God through the Holy Spirit) Luke 4:18 “Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has 👉ANOINTED👈 (anointed definition is messiah) Me...” Therefore 69 weeks x 7 days = 483 days = 483 years. Also confiming that the time prophecy was fulfilled, Jesus said it himself after being baptized: “And saying, The 👉time is fulfilled👈, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Mark 1:15 Daniel 9:26 And AFTER threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be 👉cut off👈 not AT 69 weeks. So sometime AFTER. Clearly his baptism is in 27AD based on Luke’s historical dating. Messiah arrives Daniel 9:25 “ ...UNTO the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks” which is 69 weeks EXACTLY on time in 27AD from 457BC which is 69 weeks or 483 years. There’s no year zero, when doing the calculation. 1 BC then 1AD. Daniel 9:27 “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week (3.5 year ministry Jesus was killed and the scriptures states sacrifices cease accordingly to his will, as Christ was the final one) he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease...” l the last 7 years, however Israel rejected the new covenant finally by the stoning death of Stephen at the end of the final week to complete the 70th week or 490 years from 457/58 BC, Acts 7:54-59 (~34AD), Acts 8. The covenant was then given to the Gentiles to spread to the world, Acts 13:46. Romans 2:25-29, Galatians 3:26-29.

I grew up being taught a Calvinist Christianity by my parents My father was ordained I read the Christian bible both old and new testaments over and over I also learned Hebrew and Greek and church history and I could have been already considered an apologist for Calvinistic Christianity by age 17 However even though I was fully on the path there were some doubts that I had about Christianity By 21 I had become aware that I was walking away from Christianity because of all the things that I had seen inside Christianity Since then I have been building a case against Christianity and I can explain the beliefs of almost every general category of Christianity I said all of that so that I can confirm that what Rabbi is saying is spot on without any exaggeration I can confirm it from personal experience and plenty of time spent studying all of this If anything Rabbi is understating how bad it is In my opinion Rabbi is one of the best sources of information when one is researching Christianity Not only does he point out the problem areas but he also points to good resources Anyways thanks Rabbi for providing this as a public service

Not being a calvanist I can however understand that you were not chosen (yet) or perhaps will never be called. Reading & studying is one thing, it's another doing that as a believer 1 john 1: 1-3 and having the Spirit to lead you. It's foolishness & a mystery to the unbeliever. Putting up Jewish history to Christianity is obvious. If you can't see it then that is your sign, I would hope that the Father will soon call you to Him through our Savior Jesus Christ because the day is coming swiftly. If you can't see the sudden promised persecution of Christianity in the world but most importantly in Isreal and the west that should tell you it is soon. Even better is the muslims and the way they are now sucking up to the jews against Christianity, that is most comical but sad

Paul: Romans 3: 31 Do we then nullify [a]the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law. Paul: Romans 10 Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation. 2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. 3 For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the [a]end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Bart Leon continues to contradict himself in many of his epistles, because if the law is abolished and someone is saved by Christ dying for his sins then that means a person can commit the worst of crimes and still make it to heaven which Paul is clearly showing but then he contradicts himself, he can’t let out his true colours completely otherwise he would be executed for such teachings many doubted him as Galatians 1:6-10 shows because of his inconsistency and irrational teachings and not only that Galatians 1:6-10 shows that their was a another gospel which people turned to... this shows that their were two gospels one was Pauline and one was not Pauline the one that was not Pauline belonged to Jesus Christ himself which today no longer exists since it was destroyed by the pagan Greeks and Romans who later established the catholicsm. It ironic that you don’t quote the other half of Romans 10... Romans 10:9 9If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Question. You state the term pharasee didn't exist. That is true, but the term Christian also didn't exist. Back then it was Jews who believed that Jesus Christ was the son of God who promised to take away the sins of the world. If Jesus had not claimed to be God, then no one would have called for his crucifixion. The same zeal that lead to Christ's crucifixion caused persecution of early followers of Christ (who where mostly Jews). The spread of Christ message to non Jews started later and Paul was influential in spreading that message. Paul must have believed that message strongly because there is historical record of him also being crucified. It is likely that there was persecution of early followers of Christ since Jesus himself was crucified.

Even before this, I always thought Paul was like a modern Televangelist. A flim flam man who would say or do whatever it takes to make money. That point was emphasized to me when I read about Paul bringing money to the poor early Jerusalem churches. I didn't think about Paul not being a Pharisee, although this makes great sense, I always thought that Jesus meeting him on the road was the type of crap you'd hear someone like Oral Roberts and his 900 foot Jesus saying. Paul was clearly disdainful about the early apostles, and he was clearly talking shit to them. This wonderful video just confirms what I thought. I definitely will be upvoting and subscribing to it. I'm not Jewish or Christian, but the notion that Christianity mostly spread among the Gentiles and wasn't a wildfire around Jerusalem and that area, tells me something about the validity of the claim. If people hundreds of kilometers believe it more than potential eyewitnesses, that tells me something.

As a follower of Jesus Christ, I have studied to show myself approved as we are commanded to do; in that study, I have come to see Paul as a wolf in sheep's clothing that my Savior warned us of numerous times. I am an animal lover and have rescued several dogs, so I have always questioned what Paul said about the muzzled oxen. Upon further study, I see so many contradictions between Jesus Christ and what Paul teaches. Questioning the self appointed apostle, Paul, is considered such blasphemy though that my fellow brothers and sisters in the faith will not even consider disagreeing with this revered "church father." Jesus said to call no man father and yet Paul calls people his sons, as if to imply he is their father. God created Eve to be a helpmate to Adam, thus ordaining the covenant of marriage. Paul speaks against marriage though... the list goes on and on with the contradictions. I am working on a video detailing the contradictions of Paul and Jesus, but realize this will be considered blasphemy by many of fellow Christians. It grieves me deeply to know how Paul has led so many against Christ, or worse yet... those who believe Paul's beliefs match those of my Saviors. May God have mercy 🙏

1. Historical and Scriptural Evidence of Paul's Pharisaic Background: Paul's Pharisaic background is supported by multiple sources within the New Testament. In Acts 23:6, Paul himself declares, "I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee." This statement is consistent with his thorough knowledge of Jewish law and customs, which is evident throughout his writings. 2. Paul's Zeal and Transformation: Paul's zeal in persecuting early Christians before his conversion is documented in Acts 8:3 and Galatians 1:13-14. This zeal aligns with the behavior of a devout Pharisee who viewed the nascent Christian movement as a threat to Jewish tradition. His dramatic conversion on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-19) explains his subsequent role as a missionary, reflecting a profound personal transformation rather than a continuation of previous beliefs. 3. Authority and Jurisdiction: Regarding Paul's authority to persecute Christians in Damascus, Acts 9:1-2 states that he received letters from the high priest to the synagogues in Damascus, showing that there was a level of cooperation between Jewish authorities in different regions. This cooperation indicates a broader network of influence and concern about the spread of Christianity. 4. Interpretation of the Law: Your critique of Paul's reinterpretation of Torah laws, such as the prohibition against muzzling an ox (1 Corinthians 9:9-10), highlights a significant difference in hermeneutics. Paul, under divine inspiration as believed by Christians, applied a typological interpretation, seeing the law as having broader spiritual applications. This method of interpretation is consistent with other Jewish exegetical practices of the time, which often sought deeper meanings beyond the literal text. 5. The Eucharist and Jewish Tradition: The Eucharist, as described by Paul in 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, while unfamiliar to traditional Jewish practice, draws on the Passover meal's themes of sacrifice and redemption. Jesus' words, "This is my body" and "This is my blood," would have resonated with sacrificial imagery in Jewish tradition, even if they introduced a new covenantal understanding. 6. Resurrection Doctrine: Paul's teachings on the resurrection in 1 Corinthians 15 emphasize the continuity and transformation of the body. While Greek influence is evident, his core message is rooted in Jewish resurrection beliefs (e.g., Daniel 12:2, Isaiah 26:19). The distinction between a natural body and a spiritual body (1 Corinthians 15:44) reflects a belief in a glorified, yet real, physical resurrection, not a denial of bodily resurrection. Conclusion: While there are elements of Paul's teachings that diverge from traditional Pharisaic Judaism, his background as a Pharisee is well-supported by scriptural evidence and his profound knowledge of Jewish law and tradition. His reinterpretation of the law and teachings on the resurrection reflect a continuity with Jewish beliefs, albeit through the transformative lens of his encounter with the risen Christ.

Why do Christians follow Paul and Not JC? I covered that a bit above...if "Paul" were really MARK...then even JC was still mouthing a Pauline perspective. It's kind of ludicrous to think the proto-catholic "Saul-Paul" of Luke-Acts was in any way the same as "MARK-Paul" who wrote the earliest "evangelion" around 70 c.e. Mark-Paul wrote the Evangelion, the core epistles and even looks like an "antithesis" which somehow ended up in "Matthew" as "The Sermon on the Mount." And if you follow what Tovia says about the Sermon on the Mount...it says things that fit more a "Pauline" perspective. That could only be if "Mark-Paul wrote Jesus to have such words. Jesus really doesn't follow Torah. And him having an idea that "only" ten utterances as being "from heaven" doesn't make anything he says the FULL Torah. That should be patently obvious when Jesus' thoughts on divorce are examined. There's a CLUE to who "Mark-Paul" was in the canonical gospels still...the CAESAREA PHILLIPPI sequence. I had to take just one look on Google Images to work it out. Two of "Jesus'" key speeches take place there. But go have a look at Google Images on Caesarea Phillippi and you'll see what I mean. And my first question was..."What was "Jesus" doing within earshot or WITHIN a HERODIAN palace?" The view of the ROCK WALL there also makes the other comment "Jesus" made there a very sick pun.

Drinking the blood of the "Messiah" Jesus and his flesh is an act that Le Satan made with the purpose that the true Messiah does not born or can born but cant do his work, Christains are holding the true Messiah to reveal while they do this Satanic cult that they are not aware of. Is a Satans plan and Jesus was part of it. When people stop doing this kind of Satanic cult of "drinking the Messiahs blood and eating his flesh" then the true Messiah will be on his way, but then the blood of many man will flow on earth so the true Messiah can be king.

B"H The "personages" in Torah are parts of the Holy Body we are to construct. If we learn about the Tzaddikim properly, they are integrated into our living flesh. The translation of the learning into our own flesh is what Yeshu was talking about. I have no way of knowing from the extant texts how he taught this exactly or the extent of his understanding, but if he knew to bring it up at all; he was learning on a high level.

I researched the answer to your question about how to get into heaven. Worshipping the trinity is an absolute sure guarantee to wind up in hell for a finite time until the soul is finally extinguished for eternity as trinity worship is committing both adultery as well as idolatry. Trinity worship is also a guaranteed way to violate the first commandment: “You shall not have the gods of others in My presence.” Deuteronomy 13:1 “Everything I command you that you shall be careful to do it. You shall neither add to it, nor subtract from it.” Then you might ask what you can do to increase your chances of getting in to heaven. Deuteronomy 6: 8. “And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for ornaments between your eyes.” It is interesting to note that most English translations of the Bible have removed Deuteronomy 13:1 and renumbered the sentences in Deuteronomy 13 without Deuteronomy 13:1.

I always enjoy listening to what you have to say. A couple of points that may offer further insights: Paul wasn't persecuting 'Christians'. If Paul was persecuting anyone (and we don't know as an historical fact that he was), he was persecuting 'Jews' who were were followers of what was variously then called 'the Way' or 'Nazarenes' - both of which were Jewish sects. They (the followers of the Way/Nazarenes) were not known as nor gave themselves the epithet 'Christian' until decades later. According to the Synoptic Gospels, Josephus, Tacitus and other sources, Jesus had been perceived as being a sufficient threat to the Jewish 'establishment' that he was handed over to the secular authorities to be crucified. It might make sense that Jews who followed the Way/Nazarenes and who saw Jesus as the Messiah of Tanakh prophesy (which he clearly was not), were also perceived as a threat to the Jewish religious/political establishment - and that followers of the Way/Nazarenes needed to be deterred. Best wishes. Paul

Great work Rabbi! but my how your mind wanders! I have long thought that Paul was "pulling the wool" about being a Pharisee. My suspicions were aroused more by his evident lack of Hebrew/Aramaic and his exclusive habit of quoting scripture from the LXX. Also his claim to be unknown by face in Judea despite being one of the most advanced students Gamaliel ever taught! I liked your point about the persecutions in Damascus but your point about Paul's Lord's Supper was pure gold!! Paul was a Pharisee. But when Jesus appeared to Paul in the Book of Acts, he became a christian and as Jesus said, "I have chosen him to take the gospel/christian message to the gentiles." Jesus said, "Unless you eat of My flesh and drink of My blood...you will not enter heaven" and Paul explains it as mentioned in the video. This act in a congregation is called communion. Bread symbolizes his body and wine symbolizes his blood. Of course, if this was literal, only one generation could do this because future generations did not have His actual body and blood.

Points from the first five minutes: Paul was from Tarsis, nowadays in Turkey. What was he doing with rabbi Gamaliel? Probably studying. So? People moved around then too. Why would sadducean high priest authorize Paul to suppress and subjugate christians? Because christianity was spreading, and both pharisees and sadducees were equally hostile towards it. Gamaliel persuaded the sanhedrin to free Peter. So? It's often forgotten that the scripture is not a diary: the next occurrence doesn't necessarily happen the next day, as a rabbi should well know. Paul's conversion happened long after that. Peter's christology disappeared: source? Followed by a conjecture: the pharisees didn't want to.. the reason is.. source? This is not a study, this is polemics made to sound somewhat academical.

Hi Phillip May I answer your question? I'm Polish. Not a Jew. What Paul is proclaiming is: the righteousness through the belief in messiah. God NEVER EVER announced such teaching. Abraham was found righteous because he believed God's words - NOT in God. The belief in anybody doesn't change anything. So easy!!! Well, the "Pleasure Island" from Pinocchio story. VERY UN-BIBLICAL and un-Godly teaching. Paul is the man who doesn't fear God at all. He is promising solvation but he is not a giver of solvation. Only one -the Gospel of John backs up Pauls teaching for this John was Paul's disciple. The John Apostol was not educated man Act 4:13. In other Gospels we can see a DIFFRENT Jesus, the teacher of Tora. Jesus' disciples called Paul the "deceiver" Act. 21:21. Phill, how about meeting real Truth from God's lips? Please read Ez. 18 chapter. God's promise is simple and we can fulfil God's Law Gen.4:7. Why not? . Regards and Greetings from Australia Artur

Read Corinthians Chapter 1 to 5.. Its about Paul.. According to this Gospel, Paul was made an Apostle of Christ, he specified that there should be no disunity among you Christians.. But it appears that the Pharisee rabbi in the video is lying he ended up being a goofball afterall..

I had that chapter in Corinthians memorized as a child & always wondered what that meant. I love learning the real meaning. Thank you.

The real meaning is what Paul is relying on here. Paul is not saying that this does not apply to ox at all, he is saying that if such care is given to ox then why not humans. He is not saying it does not apply to an ox but not ONLY to an ox but to people to.

If you think TS has given you some sort of reliable insight into the law about muzzling an Ox while making out Paul is some sort of dimwit… think again, the one deceiving or misunderstanding here isn’t Paul.

B"H The teachings about Yeshu telling his students to eat his body and drink his blood have been wholly misunderstood. He was telling his students about the secrets of the נקדות חלם וסגול. The Gentiles cannot possibly know what he was talking about. Unfortunately, most of the Rabbis can understand, possess all the knowledge to understand, but most do not. לחם = 638 = לחם = בקולך = דם בלב = קול בשר = יחודים סגול = 99 = גופי = אנכי חי Yeshu was explaining to his students how רוח הקדש, which is Hebrew grammar, is translated into our living flesh בשר when we learn Torah. The Hebrew root בשר also means to transmit in verbal or written form, as is known. The issue is תושב"ע and תורה שבכתב. As we see below, רוח is both דקדוק and Moshe's Name punctuated. Note that Moshe's Name contains חלם and סגול. The consonants of Moshe are equal to the expression my body speaks and the book.

Paul in Romans is saying the same as G-d in Deut 30, that what is commanded is near and easy to be obeyed. To obey the Messiah is not a turning from the commands, but a fulfillment of them.
