Billy seems to have nothing to do with the McCartney family these days. The real Paul was fond of his stepsister Ruth and stepmother Angie. Maybe that 70s clip of Billy at a family gathering was accurate after all. The one where he says that the family don’t like him!

@@mohdazmi10 , as someone else already commented, Lennon-McCartney had a huge number of prewritten songs when Paul died. The saddest part is that Billy/faux-Paul got to sing a lot of them and Paul didn't. The good part is that John would not let Faul collect royalties on any original Beatles songs. Faul was paid a salary, instead. I'm sure royalties were paid to his real family, though. 😢

Fato.

My brother in law was telling me about Faul in 1971. He was a huge Beatles fan and he kept telling people something isn't right about Paul... And in one of my bands in the 80's the bass player kept insisting that Faul's playing style was not right, that the real Paul never looked at the fret board, but this "new Paul" did constantly. Players don't change basic habits like that...

I watched the Beatles anthology and never really understood the excuse of them stopping performing live why? Their main reasoning was because they couldn’t hear themselves play right?but get this in ear monitors were invited in 1965. You mean to tell me the biggest band in the world didn’t have access to the best equipment to make them sound better and perform the songs they wanted to play and not just the hits as they said in the dvd how coincidental…

Hello friends, in my opinion, the problem was not that Billie replaced Paul. If he had done it as Billie, that would be fine. Would people be sad about Paul's death? Clear. But it's life. The problem was that he committed the crime of ideological falsehood. His band partners were accomplices. Brian Epstein was the mastermind of this crime. Assuming a false identity is a crime. It's fraud. And can anyone who bought "Paul McCartney" products from 1966 onwards be compensated? What is the amount of these compensations? This is why the truth will never be told openly. Hugs to everyone.

A lot of things to consider...Integrity, what it means to rehearse honesty and being true to ones self...Will all have an impact on one's mental wellbeing. This is never a simple choice. Sure Billy was probably a better all round musician and in many ways influenced that fateful decision...' Yeah I can do that!...Yeah I think I'm better than you!...You can't take over somebody else's personality though...Sure I know a lot of salesmen who are blatant liars, but very successful at it...their techniques bleed into every day situations and they are sometimes unaware of this. You only get one life. The decision is simple...To be or not to be...That's the question....True or false, whether your in your 20 million mansion or taking 5 at the local pub....The decision ultimately defines the Man or Woman/ Person.
