I've learned a lot from PH over the years... and I've also learned that PH was a devout & life long agent of statism... and so is his brother who is taking over the yt. I’d really only consider buying a Harrell commemorative gun from PSA if some of the proceeds were going to Paul’s family. Otherwise I’d feel PSA was mooching of a loss in the 2A community.

PSA could write off their donations of equipment, time, labor, and material. So they would earn money off Paul Harrells name. The money that will be donated will get written off the next tax year, and cancer research will get a nice little boost from the sales

I'm at a cross roads I like their A2 with 20" barrel clone, but I also like the AR10 20" barrel both I like I just wished their 20" in 308 would come with Irons. But the price is why I would buy one.

Yeah my PA-10 is going strong at over 2k rounds count..yes I upgraded the BCG and furniture after the first 1000 rounds. The closest thing to an issue I see is the buffer and spring system they use...I'm going to make some content about potentially swapping that out next.

IMO my 3 BCA uppers ain't that bad, so as long as you inspect their work, and swap out some of parts like the firing pin and bolt, the only problem ive had woth any of them was the gas block on my 24" .243 walked off a little, but after removing the handguard and making sure the dimpled spots were a little but deeper, i was able to get ½ MOA at 75 yards 200 rounds after the fix and i havent had any troubles since. It's not so bad if you're willing to put in some work. Just watch out for the bolt and the duel feed ramps (they might be shard enough to gouge the case) Paul will be greatly missed

I just like the idea that lots of people, including myself enjoyed watching Paul Harrell, sad he passed on. But I can careless people are crying which company is donating to what cause. I'm mainly a AK guy, but my AK "ras47" isn't built well I might as well get a popular AR platform for a good price with accessible parts instead of a delta operator who tells his fan boys to jack it to him and spend thousands of bucks for a SF endorsed rifle.

I guess the ultimate question I have for PSA is : why didn't they do it before he passed away? Cash grab at the expense of his fame (and death) or misguided good intentions is what I think. If its a truly altruistic thing they could just donate their own money or money out of a run of their products to those cancer organizations.

Because no one will understand the importance of rifle #67892 from lot #348. But they will understand the name Paul Harrel slapped on the side of the receiver, and if not, may take the time to look it up and thus introduce another person to a legend.

I know PSA gets a lot of hate but the rifle upper I got from them with the FN barrel has been flawless. Also recently picked up their PX-9 lil AR-9 “pistol” and that thing has been flawless as well. Time will tell how they hold up long term but the FN PSA upper has 3k rounds through it and the AR-9 already has 1k through it.

And then this guys comes out and says he has discount codes and its all makes sense. If it was well intentioned, why not try to figure which brand paul had and ask that brand? Why psa?
