The sturdy self respect and quiet iron confidence in these talks contrasts sharply with the ego-driven blather we come across elsewhere. Grateful for this channel.

Thank you for good information. Those Wrangler pants are very good. I've used 90 mile tape to fix the cargo pocket. Still working, an the tape is still there. Only downside is they are rough on the skin. Best regards.

As a certified Stihl junkie I have no problem running my FS240 or BR800 and carry appendix in a philsstr enigma under my coveralls. Having said that I switched to an HPG belt pack to keep my sidearm free from debris.

I've always carried a fix blade, two kitchen paring knifes, balisong and a 4 inch dowel as a kid in my teens, I've trained in escrima/Kali. To this day in my 40s I still carry a 4 inch dowel, fixed blade, box cutter, neck knife, and pistol. I mainly fling a balisong while watching tv.

Anything can be a weapon, and it would be cool to train at Paul's place for basics and long range hunting. I neccesarily dont care for small ninja stuff in my 40s.

I trained Kali as well. I thought I was a weirdo for carrying a knife 🔪 in each front pocket so I can draw with either hand. 😂 Guess I’m not alone. I will be adding a fixed blade on the belt now that I live somewhere it’s ok to do so.
@elsuperpollo2273Ай бұрын
Carry a 4 inch dowel, for defanging the snake. I it concerning knowing someone who is trained in knifes more then a person with a firearm. Cause I rather be shot then get in a knife fight with someone with kali training and if it's a normal criminal om.having fun haha.

Great info as usual. While not in any way comparing myself to Paul, as a retired halfass hobby farmer who putters around my property, I do similar with holsters. On the farm it's a plain jane Glock 45 from sunup to sundown in an OWB to keep it both handy but out of my way when working with tools or even just bending, lifting, and carrying stuff. If I have to go to the city, I'm changing out of my grubby pants anyway, so also switch to my Shadow Systems XR920 in a Tier 1 appendix with the mag carrier and more "city appropriate" EDC. Additionally on the farm, a booboo first aid kit and stop the bleed kit in the UTV. Also, this time of the year, my AR for varmints like rockchucks. I also keep ear muffs handy in the UTV cab, not just for things like running the chainsaw, but if I need to shoot a varmint, I always have the two seconds it takes to put the muffs on and save my hearing.

Good information. The EDC options and carry methods were well thought and logic behind them well presented. Medical is the hardest to get thru one’s mind to find a way to discretely carry. I started carrying an ankle IFAK, but have found that it’s not that ideal. Fanny pack for most casual bopping around in warmer climates might be the best method. EDC on body, however.

Right back at you👍 When going through my learning curve in training and being taught, I had to quietly remember that the guys teaching me had put more guys in the ground with their "dated" info that I had. New stuff will always come out. Most of it is recycled from the past and lost techniques that were never passed on. Some techniques will be valid, some not so much. Thank you for your feedback.

@@thecsatway3622, I don't believe that if information or tools/equipment are considered useless if it's still effective. Growing up, my paternal grandfather carried a Colt SAA in 45 Colt,because that's what he grew up with. My uncle let me shoot it when I was a teenager, it was around 100 years old at that time. It still went bang. You'll always be a student of information, no matter how old you are. Thank you Paul.

It could be helpful to explain in depth why you prefer the one golf club approach and why that is important for real world scenarios. It took me many months of watching all the patreon, panteo, youtube etc to figure out why you like to use the glock 19 and 26, which gives you the ability to use the same holster, mags, internal parts etc all of which can be super useful in an actual real world bad situation. In this era there is a hyper focus on all the new gadgets where at best you have a compact and subcompact that uses the same mags, but is not likely to fit in the same holster or have any similar internal parts.

I am not sure if I want to short cut someone's weapon/equipment selection journey in life. I think everyone needs to go through the "I have too much stuff" realization so they can figure out what they want to focus on and be proficient with. Generally, as we get older, we all cull equipment and focus on becoming a minimalist.
@averageguyyoga56383 ай бұрын
@@thecsatway3622 I do appreciate/respect that approach to let people find their own way. Paul, thanks for sharing. Have you made any modifications to your Glock 43X? I ask because I know you partnered with Wilson Combat for the Glock 19 and 26. Any changes that you feel need to be made to this new one?
@thecsatway36222 ай бұрын
The jury is still out with me on the 43X. It is a great pistol, but I have to grip is differently than my G19/26 at distance. I filed down/beveled the inside of trigger guard on inside bottom left where my trigger finger drags. The only other mod is an add on grip texture WC does that makes it bite into your hand. It is reliable and comfortable.
@Katana_Gryphon2 ай бұрын
@thecsatway3622 I appreciate the reply. So if I understand correctly WC will also perform the starburst laser stippling to the 43X? That’s good news if so. And as for everything else, you haven’t felt the need for an improved barrel or a trigger job?
@thecsatway36222 ай бұрын
@@Katana_Gryphon I am not sure what WC will offer in the future. The trigger and barrel are good, and we shot some videos today of test targets that will be up shortly.
