Wow... amazing lecture... Paul Mason is batting 1,000 with his knowledge.... I learned something new and maybe it explains why a friend of mine tore a gluteal muscle... She is elderly and very overweight.... Fatty liver and expensive doctors that tell her she is doing great! The part of Paul's lecture that spoke to an association of tendon tears with fatty liver may have just given me the answer that she has been looking for.... maybe not... but all her doctors told her was that they needed to resect....

Dr Paul Mason, another amazing guest and brilliant mind on the channel. The knowledge I'm gaining via DoctorsToTrust is incredible, and I can't thank you enough for caring and making a difference in regards to teaching all of us the truth. In regards to fish oils, I used to take cod liver oil capsules during our cold Canadian winters, until I found out about carrier oils. Unless you take a supplement in powdered form, it seems impossible to find a product not containing canola or soy oil. I'm not sure about other oils, but these 2 seem to be the most common. I also switched from gel capsules to powdered Vit D3. People need to read labels and understand them. So much nasty ingredients we need to avoid!

Thanks for your support and for the information. I take fish egg capsules from Ancestral Supplements for my omega3s. I do take vitamin D3 + K2 in liquid form in MCT oil, in the winter months.

@@doctorstotrust I found a D3 + K2 in powdered form and am taking that. The D3 I was previously taking contained an inflammatory carrier oil. I wish this information would reach more people, but your channel is doing a great job with valuable information for us all ❤

Great lecture. Sadly, doctors don’t only practice incorrectly because of ignorance, it’s because AHPRA will discipline them for doing “unorthodox” things. Even testing for insulin gets you in trouble.

Future physicians will diagnosis metabolic dyscrasias. Unfortunately these gifted people are such a rarity it is up to the individual to find the path. Often simple changes will open a gate. This is the model needed to deliver the next step to continue the recovery. Actually my first step towards my full metabolic recovery was going low carb. Try to remember you have to get old but you don’t have to be frail. Just saying.

I rarely disagree with what Paul says, however the function of the Randle Cycle is the cause of 'insulin resistance' and is not a pathological state - it is resisting further energy being inserted into the cell and is acting naturally in defence of the cell - if we have to examine the causes of 'insulin resistance' we need a means to measure it - and alas there is no such test or measuring instrument - we can however observe the level of insulin in the body and use that as a proxy - indicating chronic carbohydrate abuse ie the higher the number the more carbohydrate abuse is happening - however that said - stop abusing carbs and insulin levels quickly reduce. ( even in the 'insulin resistant' )

I agree. The body is acting defensively against the mass consumption of carbohydrates. It’s doing what it was designed to do!!!!!!! It is not a disease as such, hence it can be reversed. BUT if you keep pouring carbs down your neck your body will get damaged through the shear constant effort it has to go through to protect you.

Prof Bart Kay says the same thing, he states there is no such thing as insulin resistance, it is a natural biological process as you stated. So then we need to re-frame the disfunction to create a new label for what we have been calling insulin resistance, to be accurate.

Insulin resistnce damages the pancrease .True. But the talk is always only about the fatty liver. IGNORING THE FATTY PANCREASE , WHICH COULD BE SEEN AT THE SAME TIME WITH THE FATTY LIVER . (Whenever we see fatty liver there is fatty pancrease too.)

Is avocado oil considered a seed oil? Is walnut oil healthy?
@doctorstotrust
@doctorstotrust 11 сағат бұрын
from what Dr. Mason has said and others on this channel: avocado oil, if it is pure and not actually canola oil, which is common, it is better than any seed oil. Walnut oil is a seed oil that has been refined and therefore unhealthy. The best fats are animal fats of any type. Go to doctorstotrust.com/seed-oil.

Avocado oil is low in poly-unsaturated fats and good for cooking or use in dressing. Walnut oil is high omega 3 which oxidises even quicker than omega 6 (three unstable double bonds instead of two). Eat the walnuts, never consume the oil! Macadamia, coconut and palm oil are other oils suitable for cooking that are high in heat stable saturated fats.

Great question. Could check with Paul at drpaulmason.com.au or lowcarbdownunder.com.au. Or, search on doctorstotrust.com-I believe they are reversible.

Brilliant as always, Dr Paul Mason. But maybe too dense as a lecture. I needed to listen twice and I was already familiar with all issues. Except the urinary tract infections. This should be a lecture on it's own. Too many women are suffering with that.
