Y'know, this always brings me down. As a child I could hear his voice had changed. Now in my 60's I hear it and think, " this guy's throat is so tight they needed to transpose the score to a different key." Smh. The comparison photos last week was outstanding! I do believe he died, but was there a history of Billy, and if so, since he became Paul, when and how did his vanish/ disappear from being Billy shears? what about family and friends?

I couldn't find any information about Billy's family. Some say he is an orphan from Scotland.

⁠@@justiceforjamespaulmccartneythere was a very good KZbin piece by an English guy a few years ago who added a couple of details which might or might not have been accurate but one in particular stood out. Firstly the video said that Billy wrote for the Beatles official fanzine, and was used as a body double on the US tour. Four lookalikes would get out of the limo and be greeted with hysteria while the band themselves were smuggled into the venue under cover of the distraction out front. He is also supposed to have been in a local Liverpool band and his dad was a small time local celebrity. He was apparently quoted in the Echo as saying that “the one thing he regretted was that Billy didn’t get the recognition his achievements deserved” Yet Billy achieved very little. Freudian Slip? Talking of the Echo the videographer said that an early edition of the paper on Monday the 12th (the “accident” was supposedly in the early hours of Monday, but obviously the famous interruption to The Monkees debut was the 11th in the US) carried a story of the accident, with sketchy details but by the next edition…nothing. In those days Newspapers would have as many editions published per day as the news cycle generated and the paper could physically and financially prepare. Naturally the video was taken down after a few months.

Yes, Paul died for sure on September 11 1966 and was replaced by William (Billy). That man is John Halliday and he is 6 years younger than Paul and much shorter.

Just the rate the recording was originally recorded at vs the rate it was digitally recorded at being slightly different. It was recorded too slow, so it’s in G half-flat-ish vs. G

Got to take into account the changes in equipment, the sound engineer, and the venues, but there are differences in the pitch and even force of the vocal. Good vid again bro ❤👍

Magnolia7774, I'm an Australian male, before I hit puberty I could sound Identical to Minnie Ripperton,, I can impersonate a few voices singing. ytheres a bloke from South Australia who sounds like Neil Diamond singing. When Tavistock and MK ULTRA planned on creating a covert music/Hollywood industry to control the mindless masses and drive a stake into the heart of the family unit it would have chosen its puppets and the stand ins for those puppets in preparation for such contingencies.
